Yeah it was. From these pictures, it is more probable they will succeed. Okey, sure, it maybe only works like this for Baccy, but I think the probability is high that it will work for others too. Keep in mind that Follica is investigating this on the molecular level, looking at what happens exactly, to be able to apply the correct drugs and what’s needed. Let’s just hope the drugs that are needed are harmeless and that they are effective in doing what needs to be done. And of course, that what Follica thinks needs to be done is really what is needed  But I think after Baccy’s demonstration, the probability is on our side.

I guess they may succeed and get aproval 8 years from now on … thats around 2016.

In fact I’m fairly sure that if it works, we will have it earlier then them.

If it works I think they didn’t need 8 years from now, they are just doing the procedure faster than ever, as they said in 24-36 months they will have the fully test phases done.

I’ve just said don’t be optimistic because they will PROBABLY fail, not for sure, even if I hope that everything is going well and I think they “can do it”, is still alive a probability of failure. There’s nothing ignorant IMHO in what I said (or just my language, sorry for my bad english in that case, english isn’t my own language :P)

What is really amazing to me is how little attention Follica gets when compared to ICX. I mean what Baccy accomplished in his own bathroom using bits and pieces from Follica’s patent far surpassed anything I saw from this so called British governmental funded clusterphuck. Why is this?

There’s lots of reasons:

I think most people on hairsite are from England, and they’re accustomed to cheering for the home team.

I think that ICX was the first large-scale/ legitimate biotech looking into hairloss (not just one doctor playing around with the problem), and people are sentimental by nature.

I think people feel betrayed by ICX, and they don’t want to repeat that betrayal with Follica. It’s like the old adage goes “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”

I hear you. It’s so true.

I think what may be sinking some of the interest in Folica is the fact that the new hairs may not be any more DHT-resistant than the old ones were. I think a lot of guys probably read that suspicion and just dismiss the project out of hand right there. (Not realizing that even if this is true, it would probably still take a decade to kill them even in the worst-susceptible cases.)

I also think the idea of “wounding” scares a lot of people off too. They just hear the word, and immediately think Folica plans to scalp them alive or something.

Oh you mean the likes of James Bond and John the Revolver?

Right- but what ICX was presenting wasn’t “totally” DHT resistant either. They were using “old” DP cells from the donor to stimulate or revive the miniturized HF so in fact what you get is only as good as your EXISTING donor hair. This is not a cure since donor hair is predisposed to DHT whether one wants to accept this fact or not. This technology, IMO, is worthless for anyone over the age of 45.

Yeah but hell no pain no gain!

Are you kidding me? 2016? Who’s going to wait that long…Baccy is doing this right now and maybe a couple months from now he’ll even have more hair. If he goes from another trail and gets more, a ton of people will do this. No question.

I got my 400 grit sandpaper ready. I’m just trying to nail down the right concoction to put in my DMSO solvent.

ACCURATE. WE WILL HAVE OUR HAIR BEFORE OF FOLLICA LEAVE IN THE MARKET.

Seriously, how many people need to tell you to turn caps locks off?

lol I hope Follica works on a cure for CAPS LOCK after they get this whole hairloss thing solved.

lol…I think HairSite admin should add a small function that on every new post checks if the poster is baldlatino and then converts the text to lowercase

It’s probably because people are still skeptical of this method. I think results from Baccy’s second experiment would either make or break Follica. :stuck_out_tongue:

Im quite “fascinated” how poeple can just refuse to learn such simple things if told by so many poeple. It’s not that hard to understand nor to do.

Back to topic:

Thanks for your work and most of all for sharing with us, Baccy!
It’s a very impressive result, and it really shows that follica’s science can apply on humans, it’s than all just about the yield.

So, how much is a share of P&G nowadays  ?

to turn caps locks off? (what it is this?)

I am still anxious to hear from Baccy. I know he has said that he was bald as a cueball before starting these experiments. I believe I am bald too but I have a little more hair than he does. He has been here for a while so I would take his word for it on regrowth. I would like to actually hear him say definatively that the hair in front and the obvious thick hairs in the middle were definately not there from the beginning. If that is the fact then there is without doubt proof of concept. As much as we pay attention to our scalps he would without doubt know that.

» to turn caps locks off? (what it is this?)

YES…this is it! Please post like that from now on.

yes. I understood, forgive me friends.
