The reason I say this is because when looking at my leg and hand hair, my hair is not thick enough to provide coverage but when checking out my pubic hairs I noticed not only are they longer (up to 10 times longer in many cases) but they also are much thicker and more dense. Now, is it possible to do a pubic transplant to say my crown region and if so what is the success rate and do the hairs fit in eventually with the normal head hairs? Thank you for your time.

Pubic hair has been used for transplant, and it works well depending on your specific situation. You are correct that leg hair is finer and typically shorter. The thicker pubic hair is good for coverage and best when mixed in with scalp hair grafts or other types of BHT. If you have naturally curly scalp hair, it looks great. But if you have fine, straight scalp hair, it is best to mix pubic hair with BHT of different caliber for a more natural look. Thank you Jessica for your reply. I’ll be damned. So they actually do pubic transplants. I didn’t think they did to be honest. I’m definately going to keep this in mind but right now I am still going to go with the no shampoo thing and let it play out until mid July when my leader Lawrence shows his NW1 scalp. If by a million to one shot he is lying and doesn’t show his photos than I am probably 50 to 60% sure I’ll do a pubic transplant. I don’t mind being bald down there. My girlfriend only will make love in the dark so she never even sees me down there. This is actually great news Jessica. Thank you for making my day.

I did check out your pubic transplant before and after photos and I have to say you look pretty good and maybe that’s why you are smiling alot in the after photo I don’t know. Actually, you look alot like Joey Buttafucco that Italian mechanic that was nailing that hot babe Amy Fisher a decade or so ago. Oh, and I say that with all due respect. You have to remember, Joey was able to nail Amy who was half his age I believe because Joey had a full head of hair and was a good talker. You now have a full head of hair Heliboy so congratulations. If you can nail a young 20 something babe because of your transplant than let me know because I know I have enough pubic hairs on me to cover my balding crown area. Jessica just might of changed my life with her information on public transplants.
If you are not married Heliboy can you tell me how your life has changed as far as dating, going out to clubs, etc. Are you getting much more attention now vs. before the transplant? Thank you.

Well damon, maybe he did say that but take a look at Heliboy’s photos. He looks pretty happy to me and I don’t see any infection. I tell you I am excited over this pubic transplant information because since I quit shampooing three years ago I actually noticed that my pubic hairs grew longer for some reason. My pubic hairs actually grow longer than my head hair. I have the type of hair where it grows really slow on my head. I have one pubic hair last year that measured over 2 inches. This is all possible because of the information I got from Lawrence Cutsinger and the fine people at GIB. Two inches of pubic length is like double the length I keep my hair. I’ll definately have plenty pubic hair for full coverage if I decide to do something similar to Heliboy.

Has any patient out there used pubic for scar reapir? It would probably work great in that area due to the increased hair shaft diameter.
I also think Heliboy looks great and look forward to his continuing progress pics!

From what I have seen, the caliber of pubic works well for scars.

Yes, I remember soemthing like that…was it Dr. Woods? We have transplanted plenty of pubic and arm pit hairs and I have not seen any infection.

This ‘theory’ has been disproven many times over regarding the use of pubic arm pit hair etc. What is nice about these forums is we now have the ability to actually see from varying sources/M.D’s what is going on and who is falling behind in areas. Every M.D has the option to perform what he /she feels is appropriate or inappropriate . If they feel something shouldn’t be done it is certainly their personal rights to not perform. But that does not make the actual reality or outcome of a procedure any less . Taking pubic hair has been done now for some time and the theories of infection /poor performance etc by one M.D should not be reflected as the norm while clinics are using this very succesfully in many roles of repair /restoration.

I must say that I have never had the comparison to Joe Buttafuoco. I havent heard that name in quite a while .
My life has definitely taken a tremendous turn for the better over the last 2 years since my repair work began with Dr Umar . I do so many things now I had restricted in my life over the many years of wearing a hairpiece and living behind scars. You mentioned going to clubs. These were places I used to stay far-far away from. All of us seeking to have our hair restored are looking for nothing more than peace of mind and to get some of that confidence back that we lost . Everyone has their own level of expectations that will allow them to get back that peace of mind. I was always being told the old saying you must like who you are inside . I liked who I was inside I just hated to look the way I did on the outside and feel even worse. Those feelings are now long gone . I cant tell you that getting hair from the pubic area or elsewhere will make you a babe magnet in clubs or anywhere else.Looks do matter but personality goes a very long way with that as well in regards to meeting other people .
I think more than anything else in my case having my confidence and self esteem back has allowed me to stay out of relationships that were bad for me. Once you can bring out your real self you become more selective of the type people you want in your life and stay away from those that bring you down. Once you can get rid of anxiety it is amazing how life turns around and you think with a much more clear vision .

I have yet to see isolated areas planted to the head to show it is really making a big cosmetic difference. Taking the hair out is one thing making a big cosmetic difference is another.When doing a new procedure one has to show consistent results over and over again not a few hairs scattered around others so it makes it hard to evaluate . More docs would be doing it since we heard this over the last 2 years if it was all that. To each his own.
I don’t undertsand how 1 Doc can get on this forum & warn of the dangers of putting needles in those sort of places whilst other doctors see it as harmless.Who do you believe ??
I worked on a 3000 BHT pubic hair case where upon poor Dr. Cole had to worry about expelled gasses emitted from the area. Nelson and I looked at each other and felt bad for the patient.

I cant see pubic hair taking on your scalp hair characteristics. This might not be a great idea to get done.

Apparently that is the problem with you JonnyE, you CAN’T SEE. I just saw two people with pubic transplants and none of them look like dickheads. The pubic hairs blend in beautifully with their other hairs.
