You can also use a combo of microneedling with glycolic acid. Its been shown in studies to help acne by reducing comedones & lesions better than just skin needling alone.

I can relate to this experience, been about five months on ramatroban as well and starting to see some regrowth, also scalp seems extremely healthy. Also, like Boddha i had an initial shed too
10 month ramatroban + minox update: no change since last post a few months ago. basically only very slight regrowth in right temple, not cosmetically significant. rest of hair is stable i think but sometimes i can convince myself that it’s still slowwwly getting worse. toying with the idea of switching to indo/chromo. but first, i just ordered a 1.5 mm dermaroller 10 min ago so i’ll be starting that up once weekly in 2 days (thank you amazon prime). planning on going the basic route outlined in the dermaroller thread (dermaroll 1x weekly, then minox + ramatroban 2/daily on the other 6 days of the week). i’ll update in a few more months.

no prob alec. same… i want to see things go in the direction of more hair. hopefully the dermaroller will help - either with penetration of product or via the wounding factor. if not, i’m giving the indo a try because i’m thinking that i still might be seeing progression of mpb… aka i can see my temples moving medially and posteriorly to form that fantastic “island” look that many fellow bald guys have as their hairline. yey. well, i knew it would happen eventually. we’ll see what happens with the roller.

Quick question for you. I gave up on the Ramatroban, derma roller, etc, and have just received my first order of Indo-chromo from ID. Interestingly enough, they came in 2 separate bottles. The chromo is clear and the indo is a yellow color. But what has me (and my girlfriend) really annoyed is that the indo smells like rotten bananas. Seriously. All night last night she was sniffing me asking me if i had been dumpster diving. I pulled the top off the indo bottle today and sure enough, it smells like rotten fruit. I haven’t seen this mentioned on the forum at all so far, so i’m wondering if i got a bad batch or if they recently changed something over at ID. Or if i’m supposed to keep this stuff permanently in the refrigerator. Any ideas or experience with this? Thanks
sounds like a bad batch, mine doesn’t smell at all. It is light yellow tint, but no odor.

hello all, just checkin in. using indo/chromo for a few months. no regrowth, but no progression that I can be certain of at least. still kind of hanging at a crappy NW3. one thing i can say with some certainty is that my hair grows more slowly on indo 2x daily. i don’t use the chromo as consistently as the indo, and being that i’ve been shaving my head on the “0” clippers setting for the past 13 years, i have a good sense of my baseline rate of growth. i usually need to shave my head every 3 days. i’m now shaving it every 5-6 when it’s at the same point of length. anyway that’s it about the indo/chromo. still using rogaine daily and nizoral ~5x/week as well.
i was also wondering if anyone has seen that ID is carrying CB-03-01. it’s friggin expensive at $120 (as a side note it’s sketchy that ID list things more cheaply than the price ends up being once the item is added to cart… it’s listed at $45 dollars before adding. who does that). if anyone has tried this and had good effects i’d assume i would have read about it by now, but i’d like to hear what you guys have to say about it. it’s the only thing on the near-horizon that is somewhat exciting to me, as i responded well to finasteride (hair loss-wise) back in the day. i’d like to find an AA that would help my hair without effing up the rest of my body. opinions welcome… thanks
@Boddha, I am still using Indo/chromo and hair loss stopped. I haven’t tried the CB yet but was waiting to here if there is any success story on forums before buying.
