Optimistic

It’s true there has been a lot of talk over the last decade of being on the verge of a cure or a REAL treatment for MPB but I really think we have a lot to be optimistic about. I feel like in the next couple of years we’re going to see something truly incredible. Whether it may be Histogen, Aderans, some type of hair cloning procedure or Acell like product that works in conjunction with hair transplantation, I feel like researchers are on the verge of something incredible and an answer to our problems. Think what you will but anyway you look at it, the research has come a LONG way and there are a lot of doctors and researchers talking. I’m only 22 and it has been devastating but I’m going to try and keep my head up and hope for the best and I think forums like this are a real help not only to get the word out but to find more information about the current events. Thanks to everyone who writes on here and contributes.

Even if you are a pessimist try to see the glass half full. Enjoy the week guys.

I agree with you, even if I know that there are chance we will not see anything for many years, I’m still optimistic about something good for the near future 'cause I am registered in various forums since just 3 years, and I see a lot of positive changes about the research, even considering the icx fail.

I think since the last 10 years the market tried to lie again and again about many “bizarre” invention to cure the MPB, that’s why old guys are just pessimistic… they listened many sh1t for years and years, but now there are FACTS like that with hm NEW hair can grow up and even if is not exactly an optimized procedure however it works and can be refined, and this will be I guess a repeteable procedure …

so I think we will have a real cure in the next 4-6 years FOR SURE, but I still hope faster, something about 2-3 years, this is IMHO not sure

I hope this is readable :stuck_out_tongue:

Btw we should Ask Gerald Celente about HM if he says in 2013 i would definitely buy my ticket effin today

can you believe that Nova the science documentary program predicted baldness would be cured in 10 years back in the 80s ?

I’m afraid no matter how optimistic we are, this disease is going to take a miracle to cure.

One day we will wake up and read in the papers that a cure has been discovered and that will be the happiest day of our lives.

But whether that will happen in my lifetime - i not holding my breath.

yeah, just when?

How many chance we really have to see a cure by aderans or histogen in the next few years? and when I say few years I mean REALLY few years and not decades…

I should be happy even just to know the exactly release date by now even if will be 2014 or 2015, but at least I have the certainty of the cure and the knowledge of when…

More than ten years ago, i used to think like you but today too much disapointments, too much bla bla from the company that i don’t believe anymore!as time goes by the dream is gone…

I take your point but the standard of medical breakthroughs with regards to regenerative medicine was not within a million miles of where its at today. I’m not sayin it wil be today or tomorrow but its going the right way. in a way its like saying 10 yrs ago there was no ipod but there is today, with research and time things move on. However your point is valid in that when that TIME will be…

Thats it. Ten years ago nobody talked about 3D TVs or Full HD and now we got it.

Iam not optimistic, iam realistic and put one and one together

There’s a great chance Aderans Research will have a something out within the next 4-5 years. They’re already growing hair on human heads. So they will have SOMETHING out following the completion of their clinical trials. If it doesn’t produce “Elvis” like hair, it will at least provide a significant improvement for many.

Also, since they are well funded and backed by a large company, I don’t see any great chance of them failing financially like Intercytex did.

Just my two cents.

There has definitely been progress. Its a painfully slow process but it’s getting there. I think these companies have a definite science that they are working on. I dont believe that we’re no where near something. I’m a realist and I base any opinions on the information thats out there at the moment. The understanding that is being acquired with relation to the human body is facinating and as i’ve already said has never been more true than at this period of time. This can have a beneficial spill over effect into other areas.

The 3rd law of Baldness states that

“The cure for hairloss is always 5 years away.”

So 5 years from now… the cure will still be 5 years away.

Its a scientifically proven fact.

The illogical past claims that have been made do not tell us anything about logical current claims.

Exactly and by the standard from ARI and Histogen i would say even if it couldnt be more improved it will safe at least 2000 or more Grafts and the best thing, it keeps your current status.

So lets say NW5 diffuse and ARI procedure equals around 15k new HAIRS (not Grafts)

It can be an absolute advantage for HT because now your vertex area isnt this whole black hole which sucks on grafts.

Even if it would only give a NW5 a NW4 or NW3 Look, we can all use a FUE to become NW1 and finally stop taking FIN.

Iam optimistic because iam always going for the lowest outcome. And even in this early i mena semi early state it would dramatically increase the chance for a full head of hair even if you are NW6.

So what do we have so far?

A treatment which keeps your hair status, increases new growings of hair and density, but not full 100%, more like 60%.

I say thats good its to good to say “FAIL” and to bad to put a pirce on it

Not trying to be pessimistic but all I’ve been hearing for the last ten years on this site is that a cure is just around the corner.

Dear Optimistic I have been doing some research myself I am wishing for a magical hair growing pill to take. In the mean time I have come across a site that talks about hair folicle replication. check it out. GoodlookInk.com

Dear JO.
I have been doing some research myself, and it turns out you’re a useless shill.
I am wishing for a magical shill killing pill. In the mean time please kindly go and
fukk yourself.

Sincerely
Rev

» Not trying to be pessimistic but all I’ve been hearing for the last ten
» years on this site is that a cure is just around the corner.

See, the thing is… When the cure is actually just around the corner, I’d also expect to hear that the cure is just around the corner.

We can only really tell the difference not by what people on this site are saying, but by looking at progress researchers have made in terms of knowledge and clinical trials, and they’ve made plenty.

seriously, the problem is that 5 years from now isn’t so good as time to wait… but with aderans and histogen i guess something that will help A LOT the hair transplant will hit the market

but from now to wait 5 years it means we will have our hair back in 2015 :expressionless:

I don’t think those research institute wants to spend and study for 15-20 years without sell their product… their goal is obviously to sell as fast as they can

I should pay for the current state of the product, which should help me a lot for thickening my head in combination with an HT which shuold gimme back my hairline

1+1 = 2

we don’t need a definitive cure, we just need IMO a combination of trearment that can solve our problem

A treatment is potentially 5 years away from legalization in the USA when it has finished half the FDA trials.

5 or 10 years ago nobody was that far along or even close.

Today somebody is.
