» BostonBaldy… To answer your question… If you live in Boston, then 100%
» you should do it. If I lived there, I would be there without a doubt… No
» question about it… Worst case, you can tell us EXACTLY what method of
» ‘dermabrasion’ they use for those doing home tests…
If I lived in Boston I would try to get into the trial, too. Having an inside source would be great. But being a part of history, IF this ended up working, would be even better.
You live only one life. You might as well do something beneficial for mankind if you have the chance. This trial is a chance to do that.
» » Did it say what kind of time frame we are talking about here? How long
» » before it hits the market.
» What would be good is that someone from HairSite that lives close to
» Boston attends the trials. One could then ask them on the spot the usual
» questions: how long until the “real” trials, what is the next step, is
» everything in the patent, what do they expect, estimated release date, etc.
» Maybe they will disclose some of the information.
Earlier someone had the idea that we should contact someone involved in the research study for more info. Has anyone tried this yet? Does anyone have the contact info?
» Yeah, I live in Boston but I don’t think I’ll do the study b/c my hair loss
» is at the front, not the back. In case there is scarring, I’d prefer not to
» have it in the front… though I would like to know the method, e.g., are
» they using a CO2 laser, fraxel laser, sandpaper (lol), what??
»
I don’t think there’ll be scarring. I really did a number on my scalp and it’s healed beautifully. I sanded it heavily until it was red raw and then I slapped a 30% acid peel onto the raw skin. I almost passed out with the pain but I’ve proven to myself that the procedure works. I look forward to my next wounding with an improved protocol.
I emailed Follica sometime ago to register for trials but after the Intercytex fiasco, I don’t hold my breath. I’ll do it myself if I can.
On the other side, if they are doing the “real”
» dermabrasion, then it’s a major procedure with some risks, much more than
» microdermabrasion and medium peelings.
He’ll be fine. My head was a battlefield and the skin looks great now. I did the entire NW7 scalp. It was well worth doing.
In this article it mentions, One potential method involves using an abrasive gel to gently damage the skin and then topical cream to switch on the follicle-generating genes. It does sound like the method follica will be using.

Thanks goata
BTW, the page doesn’t seem to be working. Have the trials begun already?
