Acell Information

» Look, there is NO SOLID EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER that this stuff has caused the
» regrowth of hair on any animal, not to mention on a human.
»
» Does Acell specifically claim successful hair regrowth in any animal,
» anywhere? Do they claim this on their website? In a press release? In an
» interview? Anywhere?

Really? I must be blind then! make sure you know the facts before you post.

http://www.acell.com/vetcasestudies.php

Also you do realize that acell don’t market their human product for any specific use do you?, I mean they are not selling a product and service for mpb and never will.
They will sell their product to outside companies/DR’s who will use it for their desired use.
They are a research company.
With acell vet they dont say “bring us your animals and we will heal them”, NO they sell it to vets who want to use it. THATS HOW THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY.

If it turns out that this works the way we want, then acell will not open a ht clinic and offer a service to cure MPB, they will sell it to HT doctors or others who want to use it.

» Material from pig intestine is remedy for deep sores, incontinence

Just to highlight something from the link:

Not only did all of the skin grow back, which is unusual in itself, but the hair grew back as well.

Gollum, comments? I would love to hear them.

Just thought I’d highlight the quote ‘p’ picket out, in the subject title.

On dogs.

Non-denatured ECM is a scaffold that allows site specific tissues to crawl up it to create site specific tissue. Every mammal on this planet has this same ECM.

youre wrong, there are photographs of dogs that had huge wounds and their skin grew back with hair, no ECM was used. sorry dude. Dogs grow back their hair in wounds often on their own.

BTW ECM was used in those dogs, it just wasn’t applied externally. Like every mammal on this planet the dogs have a turnover of ECM scaffold to regenerate tissue.

Yes. It was specifically directed at Gollum who asked the following:

Does Acell specifically claim successful hair regrowth in any animal, anywhere? Do they claim this on their website? In a press release? In an interview? Anywhere?

On a side note, it regrew hair on horses and cats too.

» On a side note, it regrew hair on horses and cats too.

Don’t tell me they forgot to try it on mice!

» Even if someone produced proof of Acell regenerating follicles in some
» form, we might still find out it’s just another MPB cure for mice.

If Acell can generate new hairs in a human leg, that would be enough to be a breakthrough. As Benji sugested, you could harvest over and over again, some hidden area of your leg, for follicles to be transplanted to your scalp. Unlimited donor supply. And these follicles will survive, because this would be just a BHT, already being done by the HT docs.

Unlimited BHTs would also be a great way to spend the price of a new Corvette on your hair. 1000 body hair grafts does not substitute for to 1000 scalp grafts.

I’m not usually the first guy to whine about prices when we’re talking about new HM progress. But the cost/benefit ratio of getting massive amounts of BHTs is pretty dismal, even for this industry.

Well this might actually change with that new automated machine that is suppossed to do HTs. So who knows…maybe it won’t be that expensive soon

» The beard hair was grown in the recipient area…not the donor area. I’m
» not even sure how it was used.

It’d be nice if they were a bit clearer on this remark. They did say that Acell was not used in the donor area and no hair grew, but that it was used in the recipient area and had hair growth. Of course it would depend on what they did but just a straight reading of the comment would have me think that it did grow hair where it was applied. If that is the case then our problem is solved.

Obviously we’d have to test it a few times on people to confirm the results were real and not a fluke but I think its reasonable to expect that it would work. If it can grow back hairs/fur and skin on animals with horrible injuries, why couldn’t it regenerate a thin patch of skin with hair on humans? Whatever the case, I’m sure I speak for the silent majority when I say that we appreciate your hard work and the contributions you’ve made here Willy.

» Willy, They said that one doctor did use it on beard hair and it grew in
» that section and the section it wasn’t used in had no growth, Isn’t that a

»
» I still believe that if it can be made to be injectable there’s a good

»
» And one more thing, gollumisbald4now go F**k yourself.

Could agree more. Go F#$k yourself gollumbald4everrrrrrrrrr.))))

» I appreciate the fact that many of you have “defended” me to this “new”
» poster who claims to have been here for 1.5 years.

Willy,

Thank for all your efforts! I agree that people should ignore the “new” poster. I also agree that quotation marks belong around the word “new”, since it’s very likely an alias account created by a regular on this board.

Thanks again, pal.

» Willy for fame on a message board? LOL

LOL! I know! Could there be a sillier accusation than the one that says a person who posts on an obscure message board about hairloss, and who posts using only a first name (which may or may not even be his real first name, or may be a variation on his first name that he doesn’t use in everyday life) is doing so because he is trying to achieve some level of attention and glory?!

Thanks Rick. Nah, I just want a full head of hair again (like most of the people on this board).

Take Care,
Bill
