Wonder what everyone thinks here. It could be that due to work restrictions and lockdowns, as well as fear of contaminating labs, coronavirus may delay or stop HM research for a while. Also, this devastating virus is now a priority in the medical research world. I’m not saying taking precautions and protecting people from coronavirus isn’t really important. Maybe the work will stop. But I just want to know what everyone here thinks…
I think hair loss work will stop. Not because hair loss scientists will be focused on Coronavirus, but because people will be staying away from each other for awhile. I don’t think the research can be performed while test subjects are remote. Hair loss research teams may even disband until the Coronavirus passes over.
It has already affected http://follicum.com/
It is very likely that even those programs that are in the process like samumed and follicum will be cancelled due to trialists unable to do follow-up check-ups.
But it doesn’t matter that much , cause I don’t see anything exciting about samumed or Follicum anyway. And all other research is still in pre-clinical stage.
I want to bring your attention to what it really means fast track processing.
On January 11th chinese scientists shared genetic coding for corona virus. Mid march scientists injected new vaccine into humans to test for corona virus. How long did it take to do pre-clinical trials that included manipulating our genes??? How long did it take for FDA to issue permit for clinical trials???
They reckon they might have fully compatible vaccine available to masses by the end of this year. Usually it takes from15 to 20 years to develop a new vaccine. But now they might squeeze that in one year. Where is FDA rules??? Where is phase 1, where is transition from phase 1 to phase 2, where is phase2, where is transition from phase2 to phase3, where is phase3, where is approval???
I saw the other day that press conference with Donny and FDA Ceo Stephen M. Hahn. I wonder how much money was funelled into his account him suddenly forget or ignore every FDA rule??
So now people you must realize pathetic state of hair loss research when you compare it with this one. It’s like hair regrowth researchers are still playing in a sandbox.
The Cornona is very fast to viral among the people one person can transfer virus to several people so it’s better to islolate yourself at home don’t leave your home…
When people are dying you forget the rules! All these FDA rules and policies is why it is difficult to get investors to fund hair loss projects. It cost millions of dollars and ten years from start to finish to get any drug approved. President Trump is working hard to remedy this issue. When he speaks of the “Deep State”, it is very deep and they all love power. You can get counseling for “TDS”.
Exactly! There are too many politics and economics involved in FDA approval. Hope Trump’s efforts streamlines the approval process for all needed future meds that doesnt have anything to do with coronavirus. Why wait 15 years for meds you need TODAY? Its stupidly ridiculous.
What do you mean when you say, “When people are dying you forget the rules!” What rules are being forgotten?
And your deep state nonsense is tin-foil hat, conspiracy-theory crap. And President Trump can’t solve big complex problems because he lacks the intellectual faculties/processes needed to understand and make correct changes to large-scale, complex systems.
Donald Trump is the worse President in US history.
Sure, the FDA approval process will speed up even more during the Trump Admin but that will just be a continuation of the trend that’s been going on since before Trump became the President. The FDA approval process has been trending shorter for some time now.
Rarely, a BIG change is made to speed up the FDA approval process. The last big change to speed up the FDA process is called the "21st Century Cures Act, it was enacted in December 2016, and it was signed into law by democratic President Barack Obama.
And some of the provisions that President Obama signed into law back in 2016 (when he signed the “21st Century Cures Act”) allowed for delayed implementation to give the FDA a couple years to make necessary adjustments to their systems to make the changes go smoothly. In other words, President Obama ordered the FDA to speed up approval times back in 2016 (when Obama was President) but those quicker approval times didn’t start until Donald Trump became President. You’ll give Trump the credit for that because it will happen during Trump’s Presidency and you’re uninformed, but it was President Obama who signed it into law…who made it happen.
People like you bring politics into situations while you complain about politics in situations.

And every once in awhile a BIG change is made to speed up the FDA approval process. The last time there was a big change to speed up the FDA process is legislation called the “21st Century Cures Act”, it was enacted in December 2016, and it was signed into law by then-democratic President Barack Obama.
And that law allowed the FDA to delay implementation to give the FDA a couple years to make necessary adjustments to their systems so the changes would go smoothly. In other words, President Obama ordered the FDA to speed up approval times back in 2016 (when Obama was President) but those quicker approval times weren’t to take effect until Donald Trump became President. A lot of the faster FDA processing will happen during Trump’s Presidency and you’re uninformed so you’ll give Trump the credit for it but it was actually President Obama who signed it into law and made it happen.
And you’re a conspiracy-theorist, right-wing robot who won’t ever get it that there is NO deep state and democrats aren’t as bad as you have been led to believe they are.
