» A guy who gets paralyzed from the waist down can still live his life.
» We’ve invented wheelchairs and we live in a pretty wheelchair-friendly
» society.
»
» But just because he lives his life to the best he can, that doesn’t mean
» anyone else has the right to sit there and tell him that the paralysis
» “doesn’t matter.”
»
» And he’s not a whining crybaby just because he closely follows research
» into spinal cord regeneration, either.

»
» (Oh, shut up. I’m not trying to say that losing hair is comparable to
» being paralyzed. I’m just using an exaggerated example of a physical
» handicap to make my point.)
anyone who has a handicap in life, if you want to look at hairloss as a handicap…thats a stretch…has to deal with it. He has a choice, whine and cry and say woe is me…or do the best he can do given the circumstances. Guys who deal with real physical handicaps. example loss of a limb, and triumph in life DESPITE that handicap…certainly do not get to that point by sitting and crying and saying…gee society is so mean and they treat me differently because of my situation
the ones that succeed, count their blessings and do not see themselves as disadvantaged and do not focus on the negative
this is not the situation with most of the guys on the board, who continue to post threads on how hairloss is so important to society, how it is so hard to get dates, or good jobs with hair loss, and how HAIR LOSS IS SO IMPORTANT AND LOOKS ARE SO IMPORTANT AND HOW DARE WE SAY OTHERWISE…AND TO GET REAL
that is what I am saying, guys who think that way have a loser mentality, what if HM cant save you then what>? well the answer is it depends on your attitude. If you have an attitude that says, I will make the best of what I have, despite the obstacles presented to me, then you are in a good position
if you sit there and cry about all the discrimination and difficulties in life guys face with thinning hair. you are playing a no win game
lets take racism, lets view that as a handicap, for example to blacks
do you think that successful blacks, sit around crying about how there is so much racism in the world and woe is me. No , they certainly do not. They acknowledge sure that racism exists but they choose to take an attitude of I will succeed despite that fact, and they just focus on success and realize they have to work harder perhaps to get there in some cases.
the people who experience discrimination of any kind in this world, be it for race…ethnic origin, height, weight, sex, whatever the basis , and sit around crying about it, and blaming all their troubles on it, get nowhere. that is a losers mentality
this mentality seems to be very prevalent on this board
