What about this?

The link talks about applying WNT producing drugs to an area of skin that has been opened up a bit and that might produce new hair. Aren’t there WNT producing agents/drugs in the general marketplace yet? if there are then why can’t this just be done NOW?

First of all, the link is almost 2 years old. Actually, that doesn’t matter, BUT secondly, the article is just about FOLLICA:

Yea, I knew it was an old article but it seems like this should be "gettable? right now. You see, they are basically talking about wounding and then applying already known compounds to the wound. These compounds are already out there in public and available plus wounding is pretty much understood. So why aren’t some doctors already doing this for patients?

googoo,

a couple of guys here tried to do a “follica-type” of protocol at home: dermabrasion followed by applying specific compounds during specific “window” points in addition to taking an oral medication that is used for cancer patients (gefitinib i believe) and there wasn’t much success with it. the follica procedure is not as simplistic as it may seem. if you have an opportunity, search thru some of the archives and read about some of the members experiences with their “follica do it yourself” trials.

You’re right that it does not matter that it’s an old article. The only thing that really matters is that wounding and this WNT stuff appears beneficial for hair growth. So can we get the exact instructions for this wounding and the exact instructions how to get this WNT stuff and how to use this WNT stuff?

Wow! This is pretty complicated. One would not be able to do this at home. Are there docs already doing it anywhere in the world? There are parts of the world where patents really aren’t worth the paper their written on.

Ironman just gave me a link to the actual patent/instructions and it looks way too complicated for guys to be trying this at home. What a bald man would need would be a doctor in a country where patents are not respected (such as India) and the doctor would have to have already researched the patent and the doctor have to be using this treatment then you could fly there and get this wounding/WNT treatment now. I would imagine that doctors in countries like India might be looking into doing exactly that. They really do not respect patents.
