Thomas Whitfield

This guy is no bum off the streets. I just don’t see him screwing with his reputation unless he has something that will work to some degree.

Good Find. I hope he has something but based on the qoute below and the use of the word “compilation”, I don’t expect it to be a new treatment. My guess is that it is going to be a website where you input personal information and he does some sort of statistical anaylsis that recommends the optimum regimine.

“‘The experience gained will help me in the challenge of launching a globally operating, technology-based business,’ he adds.‘On my return, I hope to launch a well structured and financed venture in the UK.’”

Translation: he hasn’t started anything yet.

nothing of news …this news is old.

It wasn’t about the news, it was about who he is. It is a treatment, this I have confirmed.

It looks like he’s hiring

Imagine if ICX, or Folica, Aderans, Histogen, etc, had cheerily announced they were about to dump something on the market within a year or two from when they first started their HM program: We would have blasted them for trying to bullsh*t us with an idea that’s insulting to our intelligence. (In fact we typically blast a HM operation for saying “5-10 years” when they’ve just started out.)

Why are the rules different for this dork?

I cant see where Thomas Whitfield is mentioned, but it is an Oxford based company which seem to be hair loss related, the web designer is asked to come up with five domains for a hair loss product. They are hiring 4 people ASAP so they are really going for it. The question is, what do they have to sell? My bet is that we will know before the end of the year so he is keeping his word.

Tommy said he originally got into this gig because he was losing his hair, right?

So find a pic of him today and see how it compares to him 2-3 years ago.

I’m sure he’ll have a ton of people applying for a job paying a grand total of 280USD / month.

lol, no doubt. Those are slave-rates.

In any case it’s safe to assume math wasn’t a core focus of his phd.
He quoted 40hrs/week @ $6.89/hr in one instance, and $280/month in another.
He was also quoted saying he “plans to have his product and service on the market within 12 months” as of January 2009. Nine months in, and all we seem to have is a crum-bum facebook page, and a few job postings for indentured servants.

Maybe it’s £6.89/Hour + £285/Month Compensation?

I find this requirement even funnier,

"3) A short essay (250 - 400 words) along the following topic: “What can I do in order to prevent loosing my hair?”

» Maybe it’s £6.89/Hour + £285/Month Compensation?
But that makes too much sense.

lol, maybe he’s looking for ideas how to proceed with his research?

“Science for hair rejuvenation”. Working or not, they are not just trying to stop hair loss or cover it up with a wig or other products. I realize Im likely to be dissapointed as usual, but what I like is that no one actually knows anything about this product besides Thomas claims. And they would not pick him for an expensive one year entrepreneur scholarship if he had a crappy idea.
This is the only short term hope I have and Im hanging on to it a bit longer

he have 10 fans on facebook… sure a product is near the market…

The new logo is not much, but better than nothing.

Not sure the 10 fans is indicative of anything.
