Thickening hair *intra*hair cycle?

A good friend i havent seen for yrs has MPB but very different than mine …

In fact id say he still has all his hair follicles, only the temples and vertex are thin*ner ( but still thicker than vellus).

Is it possible to thicken hair with a hair growth cycle, as opposed to the next anagen phase ?

What is your experience ?
