The natural....in needof advice

» » Hey The Natural,
» »
» » I just wanted to chime in here on the resveratrol. I was using it for
» » about 30 days before I found out about the connection to hair loss. Like
» a
» » lot of people I’m on a bunch of junk so I cannot prove that it is
» helping
» » with the hair but I do believe that it does help with the skin and
» energy.
» » For instance, I am a runner and at 41 years old I have gained over 1
» minute
» » to my 5K times and I think that is due to the benefits of resveratrol.
» »
» » My hair seems to be doing better but who knows from what.
» »
» »
» » I would like you to quickly explain how you are taking the green tea
» » extract and what is the citrus pectin all about?
» »
» » Also, I just got on rogiane because people wondered why I wasn’t. What
» can
» » I add to it to make it work better?
» »
» » thanks,
» »
» » HH
»
»
» Hi hopefullhair,
»
» Based on some of iHerb’s product reviews, there were several people who
» reported their hair “growing back” and “growing faster,” while taking
» resveratrol.
»
» Conversely, there was one of the control groups in the
» curcumin-resveratrol hair loss study that only took resveratrol, but did
» not experience any results.
»
» My unprofessional opinion would be that the curcumin is also contributing
» to resveratrol’s effect on your skin and energy levels.
»
» Your question has reminded me that I should probably take the word
» “extract” out of my signature, since I drink many cups of green tea daily,
» but now only take LEF’s green tea extract about once every two weeks or
» so.
»
» I am taking citrus pectin to remove, “chelate,” heavy metals from my body.
» Here are a some previous posts which contain more information about this

» As for the Rogaine, sorry, but I have no idea what to add to it; though I
» am sure there are some here who would encourage you to find something
» more natural to apply to your scalp  .

did you stop taking the Apple cider vinegar

» did you stop taking the Apple cider vinegar

I may take it once a week. But lately, I have not needed to take it. My chronic indigestion has all but been cured thanks to apple cider vinegar.

Hangin, read what this poster, orwell, just stated about ACV:

"So it’s been about 6 months since I started an IH inspired diet and IH inspired combo of internals plus running/weight lifting 3-4 times a week. Massive gains have been had.

Big thank you to IH; loads of karma coming your way! (‘’)

Started on : green tea, spirulina, cod liver oil, soy + omega 3 protein powder (no cereals for breakfast), Fo ti, Maca, nettles, lysine, hemp oil, saint john’s wort.

Dropped: nettles, hemp oil, lysine, green tea.

Incorporated: More maca, t-resveratrol, ultra premium Australian grown spirulina, organic wheat grass, and very recently turmeric. Rice protein shampoos (http://www.delorenzo.com.au/instantseries_r8_sh.htm) DIY maca and spirulina tea-tree oil based topical. Hair assist topical spray.

I can really say the most important changes I have seen taking place, hair wise, have transpired with first Maca, then wheat grass, then organic apple cider, and now resveratrol (thanks the natural) plus a change to rice protein based shampoo. Change of diet (quite simply more lean meat, more organic greens, home grown organics, less carbs and processed foods, less diary, no junk foods, less sugar, rain and filtered water) and exercise regimes have, of course, been important factors - btw IH is, I believe, right about insulin and its role on MBP.

Positives:
Completely dropped monoxidal without a massive shed; btw this stuff is pure poison, causing everything from depression to dermo, but you all probably know this. The dreaded monoxidal shed was avoided perhaps because of apple cider vinegar???
Hair growth increased on temples, and longer hairs overall, yippie!
Dermo and itching all but gone
Weight loss, muscle toning
clearing of brain fog
Increased sex drive + chilled out maca balance
Decreased stress, increased energy levels thanks to resveratrol
Feelings of wellbeing
Less worrying about hairloss
Near perfect skin tone

negatives:
expensive!
sore liver!
red wine junkie"

Yes, he takes A LOT of things, but he sure seems convinced that ACV had a positive impact on his hair.

i have been taking it lately to cure an infection
it works way faster than antibiotics, taste nasty though if you take it by the teaspoon in water

i wonder though what its effect is on hair loss or regrowth, could be that it has a lot of curative effects on the fungal infections in the scalp, though not sure if that is only when topically applied or taken internally
