Summary
An Research Associate / RA II / Associate Scientist – Genomic & Proteomic Analysis position is available at Stemson Therapeutics, a cell therapy startup. The candidate will be part of a dynamic research and development team focused on hair follicle restoration using human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). We seek a passionate person who will generate genomic and proteomic data to support the development of our human iPSC-derived dermal papilla and epithelial cells. The candidate will perform various lab experiments such as bulk and single cell RNA sequencing, peptide identification and quantification, and immunoblotting to support team decisions in driving our final product design. The ideal candidate will possess a strong team orientation with a willingness to share ideas and a passion for developing cutting edge therapies that can change millions of lives for the better.

Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities

  • DNA/RNA extraction and quantification
  • RNA sequencing library preparation
  • Immunolabeling assays (fluorescence and chromogenic) and immunoblotting
  • Peptide identification and quantification
  • Flow cytometry
  • Tissue sectioning and immunohistochemistry
  • Dissecting hair follicles and animal and human skin
  • Productively and collegially interact with project team members
  • Review scientific literature related to assigned programs
  • Basic laboratory tasks, such as preparing reagents, aliquot solutions, autoclave tools
  • Organize data and prepare deliverables for periodic review meetings

Required Skills

Required Experience

  • Bachelor or Masters in Biological sciences with strong focus on research and development
  • Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience in molecular and small molecule biology, DNA/RNA preparation, qPCR, sequencing, protein analysis, and immunolabeling
  • Experience working in a pre-clinical development lab with familiarity in following protocols and documentation procedures for pre-clinical development
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
