Those are amazing results. It doesn’t seem that the head was shaved in the first picture. How come the first picture isn’t dated?

ACtually. They were experimenting with the Follica method. Apparently, waxing before WNT manipulation in the target area greatly increases hair follicle yield. So what you are seeing is probably a trimmer buzz followed by a waxing in the target area (which happens to be the crown in this case).
I remember this, this is a “follica DoItYou method” done by a dude on this forum if I remember correctly
