Some thoughts about to be or not be here

I’m no HT industry shill.

I believe that HM is coming for real. 2010-2015 isn’t that far away at all. Hell – if you get a traditional HT tomorrow morning, it will probably be early 2009 before it’s entirely done thickening up to its final result. (And that’s the waiting period for just one HT session.)

I’m just tired of seeing people run themselves in circles trying to deny reality about HM. It’s coming for real, but it’s not coming faster than common sense says it can. Ever since they early 2000s there have been rumors alluding to HM being only a year or two away despite little realistic sense in these predictions.

ICX started clinical trials in the early 2000s. So we can add a decade onto that time for the final commercial release. IMHO it’s no more or less complicated than that. None of the information that ICX might release between now & then will sway my opinion unless they announce a major setback or something.

I don’t see ONE person denying HM is coming. Of course people have missed the whole point as usual. Just go back to being sheep.

“And then you can whack off together as you wait in vain for a procedure that’s in it’s very infancy”

Um, nobody was saying HM isn’t in the foreseeable future except you. In the context of the whole paragraph, it sounded like that’s exactly what you were saying.

We all know it’s (hair multiplication) coming. We’ve known it for about ten years or so. It’s just around the corner. Just a few bugs to work out, a few trials to complete, consistancy issues to overcome, growth angles, cysts type stuff, and then the protocols will be perfected, and affordable, safe, and available to everyone. Probably in just a few years, maybe five, or possibly longer, but real soon I’ll guess. The hair will look natural, and cycle properly, or not, but most probably maybe. Any day now.

The science is valid so we’re told, sure seems plausible, at least I can imagine it working, so it must be possible. In fact we’re told it’s already working. The percentages of growth are amazing.

The company is huge, with great minds dedicating their lives and spending millions on this project, so it must be a sure thing. I better start packing my bags.

Sound familiar? It should, I just summarized ten years of this forum in three paragraphs.

we just dont know it. we can just believe what farjo and icx say about what they think. so two problems. they may lie or not say it perfectly correct or they may think wrong.

so maybe its only a dream. or it comes out. or not? its just too unsure to rely anything like hopes or even your life on it. i mean everyone is free, but dont let yourself held back from anything coz of some “information”. and its still very questionable if these “information” are right.

i think there are good chances that in 20 - 30 years there is something good out. but before. who knows? even icx says it will have to be perfected.

dont let yourself be held back from living, using treatments, a ht or anything. there are even guys who think about getting a hair piece because “hm is around the corner”.

even if there is a small scale comercialistation in 2008 , you wont get in! so prepare for end 2010 at least. so 3 more years AT LEAST. and maybe its not perfect then, what then? then you have to wait some more years that its perfected.

lets just wait for the next information in half of a year. then maybe they have even better news than the last. for me the information from icx sounded good coz it shows that it can work (in humans). so there is a good chance that it comes out any time sooner or later. but not in the near future. in middle-term maybe.

It’s always being viewed in such binary terms.

The general assumption seems to be something like this:
“HM will be immediately producing an unlimited supply of perfect-looking, totally DHT-resistant hairs, that last for the lifetime. It’ll be available for every bald guy with few grand to spend within a month of its release date. It will be released within 2 years of (insert present date here).”

And even when people are trying to be “realistic” instead of believing all of ICX’s sunny predictions, I still hear so much binary talk:
"HM is a decade (or 2-3 decades) away, the science may never be able to do what we want, the companies can’t be trusted, the fact that some companies are in clinical trials doesn’t mean they have anything substantial near the market . . . "

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
