The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of three doses of topical NEOSH101 applied once-daily (qd) for 16 weeks in men with thinning hair in the top and center of the scalp (Norwood/Hamilton grades III-IV androgenetic alopecia). Four equally sized treatment groups (35 men each) will receive either NEOSH101 0.5%, NEOSH101 1.0%, NEOSH101 2.0% or placebo. A 12-week observation period will follow the treatment period.

The purpose of this study is to measure the hair growth response to topical NEOSH101 when applied twice daily to the balding scalp for 16 weeks. One hundred eighty men with Norwood/Hamilton grades III-IV with thinning in the top and center of the scalp will participate. Three equally sized treatment groups (60 men each) will receive either topical NEOSH101 2.0%, minoxidil 5%, or placebo.

I see that is the same situation of the TRC, it’s in the 2b phase… so as you can see, for a commercialization, it’s not necessary a phase 3 study… there are all the reason to see a TRC in 2009… (if the phase 2 is going well, yes…)
