Silymarin (Milk Thistle) and epidermal growth factor

A guy at HLT pointed out that silymarin (about 4-6% of milk thistle, but standardized to be 60% or so of Milk Thistle Extract) inhibits the epidermal growth factor receptor.

Ive looked around and could not find where this substnace inhibits the wnt pathway like the other natural egf-inhibitors (like green tea, apple polyphenols, quercetin, et cetera) do.

Could this be a “natural” that we could use instead of getfitinib? Interesting…
