Has anyone here used Scalp Med? If so what are your opinions on the product, how long have you used it, what stage on the Norwood scale are you, and would you recommend it?

I’ve seen the commericals and read several “independent” reviews on the net saying that it does work but I know this site is “for real” and would appreciate any thoughts.

ScalpMed is nothing more than plain old minoxidil with retinol (Vitamin A derivative), saw palmetto (DHT inhibitor), beta sitosterol (DHT inhibitor) and biotin, among other ingredients. Have you tried just plain 5% minoxidil? If not, you may want to give it a try before investing your money in the other ingredients that have not been shown to do anything when applied topically. As for the “results” that you have seen on the infomercials, I would speculate that these people are just very good responders to the minoxidil and the other ingredients have little, if any, impact.

make sure you are on a super hair vitamin, maxi hair by Country Life or Ultra Hair by Natures Plus,maxi hair is cheaper and the same thing

dht blockers are best taken internally at least mine i take internally

gc1961 got his results with the shampoo and a lot of other stuff. He has recently changed to his own ketoconazole concoction. He’s not using Nizoral cream.

You have reported what I would call peach fuzz. Small colorless hairs. You consider that good results?

Regardless of that, even if 3 people (you, gc, rooster) on this board reported good results, you consider 3 people “a lot of board members”?

Also, the Japenese study, I brought it to this site…and those guys aren’t members.

I have been on it for a MONTH…you expect full regrowth in a month>

gc1961 was on several things but why does he come into a NIZORAL thread and say NIZORAL WORKS and post his before and after pics, he did not start all his regimen at the same time he started nizoral, he said he got results within the first month on nizoral…I think he knows when he added it and when the results started

I’m trying to keep the info correct for anyone who is interested. You are providing misinformation on the board. And I’m not jealous of peach fuzz. I too am seeing it, but it doesn’t mean anything. It’s not “good results”.

One more thing. I’m not following you around. I’m following the Nizoral threads trying to keep the information correct for those who are interested. You say “good results” from “a lot of board members” which is not true, but will get people in a frenzy to go out and buy something that may just grow peach fuzz. Why don’t we save “good results” for terminal hairs? And “a lot of board members” to at least 10?

hell i dont know
he first came onto a nizoral thread, showing his before and after pics and titled his post NIZORAL WORKS, and showed his amazing progress

then when I ask him to clarify when he started the nizoral and when he started the other stuff timelines and to say if he thought the nizoral was responsible, he does not respond

like I said dont expect him to clarify it

i thought he did not like the nizoral shampoo and said it was too harsh and he was leaving it on 20 minutes and then it was causing shedding

it sure caused my scalp to be so dry, that i stopped using it and this was because YOU SAID that the shampoo was too harsh and i thought yes you are right so i switched to the cream because of you saying that and me looking at my hair

however now for him to say he is using 2 percent shampoo does not make much sense

this whole nizoral thing with gc is confusing , if not for the japanese study i would be totally lost

except that, not sure who it was , if it was you or someone else said the niz cream or the keto stays in your system for 3 days and that daily use is not advised
