I am 21 and have been taking 1.25mg generic Finasteride once a day for a little over 3 years. Basically every man in my family (both sides) have some form of MBP, and I noticed my own hairline beginning to slightly recede, so I decided to be proactive. The Fin has worked great; however, recently the left side of my hairline has begun to recede a bit.
I recently bought some Rogaine foam, and was wondering if I could try using this? Is this a safe route to take? I’ve heard the Rogaine can cause shedding and the last thing I want is for me to bring on additional hair loss. Also, I know Rogaine is FDA approved only for the crown, but I figured it may be worth a shot on the hairline/temple region.
Also, if not Rogaine foam, would anyone recommend something else (Nizoral Cream/shampoo, Spiro) as a potential solution to my problem?
