Oh yeah, far better, no itch. Find the one that is unscented.

Define “better”. Does it grow more hair? It shouldn’t; it contains the same amount of monoxodil as the liquid. But it is far less irritating to the scalp, which means the likelihood of consistent application is higher. That right there will grow more hair, because you can apply it consistently. Further, many feel that inflammation plays a role in hair-loss. On regular Rogaine, my scalp became inflamed due to the alcohol in the mixture. It MAY have actually caused some hair-loss due to that irritation.

So, overall, yes, the foam is better.

Actually, the foam delivery system is supposed to penetrate the skin better.

Yes and all as actually, many here complain that the foam did nothing but make them lose what they had gained on regular alcohol minox. I would not go for foam.

I agree. The foam worked like Nair hair removal cream on me. I definitely would NOT recommend it.

The only thing that bothers me about the foam is the smell. Does it actually work better than regular rogain, I really cant tell.

I’m thinning in my hairline and temple region and would like to slow my hair loss down. Anyway I’ve read on this site and hlh that some people are experiencing big sheds from it. The last thing I want to do is lose anymore hair in my hair line. Has anyone experienced good results with it? Jtelecom, how long did you stay on the product? And did the shed grow back?

Does it REALLY contain the same amount of minoxidil? At the recommended dose?

Well, it is harder to properly measure the dosage with the foam. I err on the side of caution and use about 1/2 more than the recommended amount.

It’s my understanding that they have you measure the foam by the capful, as in using half a cap, or a full cap, or two caps, or whatever. What I’m asking is this: do they even tell you what the MASS is of that recommended amount of foam?

.

A randomized, placebo controlled trial of 5% foam showed a statistically significant increase in (1) hair counts and (2) subjective assessment over placebo during a 16-week period of twice daily usage.

Well, that may be the case, but it says nothing about its efficacy versus regular minoxidil which was the original poster’s question.
