Repair HT (2000 FUHT grafts) - 3 year update

Dear forum readers,
Some of the veteran posters may remember this patient’s repair HT performed by us in June 2005.

He is the poster Alan Ingle. He is happy with the outcome of the repair HT.

In his words -
“I no longer have to worry about anyone suspecting that I had a hair transplant.”

Patient particulars
A Caucasian in his 40s.
Light colored hair with less hair - skin color contrast.

Alan Ingle’s actual surgery was discussed at the following link (his pre op and immediately post op pictures are available at the link)

Thanks for sharing the results.
This is one of the best strip repair I have seen. Clear pictures, excellent documentation and video
It gladdens the heart to see another life improved for the better. The patient is HAPPY and it shows.

Other clinics should take notice and post clear and thorough documentation including videos of the donor.
Its good to have doctors of the calibre of Dr. Arvind amongst us.
At the same time, its frightening that the patient got plug grafts in 2005 and that too in UK. Anyone know whether the Norton clinic is still butchering unaware chaps who go in trusting the doctor?

Yes the Norton Clinic are still at large.I had a consultation by them a couple of years ago.I could tell everything the salesman was saying was total bullsh*t sales talk,he’d of been better off working down the market trying to sell jeans.Luckily I’m in retail sales so I know when someone is trying to have you over, others may not be so lucky.

I never bothered getting anything done, instead I started doing quite a lot of research - I still haven’t done anything, except shave my hair off daily, get a tan and try to live with hairloss, but who knows one day, perhaps.

I occassionally get leaflets from the Norton clinic, they are now doing alsorts of treatments including smartlipo a form of liposuction, plus other treatments - I pity anyone who gets conned by them.

Roll on HM!

Amazing that even in a developed country like UK, doctors still perform butchery in the name hair transplants and get away with it. I have very little doubt that the Norton doctor will have all the correct affiliations including certificates showing ISHRS membership to fool the gullible!!

The strip lies horizontally, he lifted his donor hair up twice, you will see when he lifted his donor hair up the first time in the video.

Following are some more pictures from 2008.

Did he dye his hair after the surgery? He wasn’t this blond before.

Good pictures good video. Dr. Arvind what density did you give him per cm square? I think he is one of the lucky ones with very light skin color and light color hair, he can get away with very low density and still look natural.

Dear Reiner,
Yes, Alan colors his hair a lighter shade now.

Dear Craig,
Alan was a repair HT case having some pre existent hair growth from his first HT.
The final density in Alan’s case would be around 40 to 45 grafts per sq cm.

Good result here, but I think the hair-skin color works for this patient. If there was more contrast, 2000 grafts may not have been sufficient. Am I right?!
Also, thanks for the video and the picture showing the strip scar. I like how you do that for all your patient results. Please continue this.
We are not children who will run away if they see a scar. We are educated adults entitled to all round documentation to make our mind. I wish all other clinics realize this too, when posting results.
