Question to Wookster about Garlic

Pete:

I alternate daily between minoxidil (5% Kirkland) and PolyGro. I use PO shampoo almost daily (Body Shop Ginger Scalp Care). I just finished off a bottle of Lamas shampoo and I am debating whether or not to purchase it again. I recently tried Proxiphen (prescription) again after several years of not using it and was not all that satisfied. I doubt that I will purchase it again. I am considering the garlic thing.

Any suggestions or recent treatments that have caught your attention?

Topically what I think is needed is something that :

1)Increases SOD levels
2)Reduces inflammation
3)Increases Bloodflow

The issues seems to be with the strength of topicals on the “market” or the lack of, that attempt to address the “immune response”. So Im waiting for a super strength version to be developed. When its out and I start using it - Ill report back.

Have you got a link to the : Lamas shampoo ?

Pete

» “Once a week for 15 min.” And he did this for 5-6 months? I see.
»
» I am confused by the following, however:
»
» “Below are my observations until now (4 times applied garlic,
» 2nd week)
»
» 1. Hair Loss reduced approximately by 90%
» 2. Better hair texture - volume (healthier hairs)
» 3. Increase in Hair length
» 4. Increased scalp oil
» 5. New hairs formation (probably from resting phase)”
»
» Is this guy performing a clinical study here? For example, how does he
» get the 90%? Where, pretell, does that figure come from?

» Anyone?

The Natural

Let me help you a little bit with mathematics.
Lets imagine that everyday you lose 50 - 60 hairs per day. That happens when you wash your hair and when you comb them.
And lets imagine that once upon a time you apply something to your scalp that after 2 weeks you reduce your falling hair approximately down to 7 hairs per day. If you do the equation you get about 89 % reduce in hair loss.
It is as simple as it seems. No clinical studies, no difficult equations.

Have you any questions do not hesitate to post again…

Ok guys…

I have just sent an email to David in order to upload some photos for me.
I will comment the photos when posted.

Until now, i have applied garlic 8 times. (3rd week).

The week passed i applied garlic 2 times in a row (in 2 days), and I have somehow burned some skin (spots) in the scalp.
As a result i will reduce and keep topical garlic applied twice a week.
I will also keep my eye on those burned spots…

The good news are that i have found finally a way to bring garlic nearly to a cream form. I have used a garlic press. It does good job smashing the garlic and keeping the ingredients on it until applied on scalp. I mention this cause i had a problem keeping the garlic oil. The garlic now is stronger and that is the reason i burned my skin.

My observations until now on progress remain steady. No further improvements.
I am pretty happy so far with the results. I believe it will take about one month to see further improvements.

Imor, let me help you with your English. It’s “lose” not “loose hairs.”

As for your “mathematics.” We can do nothing but take your word for it. If you’re getting results from putting raw garlic on your head (and can tolerate the aforementioned irritation), then good for you.

Thanks for the correction… You see, i am also working on my English too…

That is ok David!

The above photo applies to:

The first time I started, I was doing it for about 5 - 6 months.
I was able to restore the part where you first start losing your hair (between the front and middle part of the scalp (red circle), sometimes they symbol this area with the number 3 if you symbol the hairline with 1 and the temples with 2).

This photo was taken approximately the 3rd month of treatment.
Note that the photograph is not so good because it comes from a mobile phone (2 mega pixels) and it is the only photo i could find in order to post.

I just tried your Garlic thing and it definitely burns a lot! Ouch!!!

It definitely feels like it boosts circulation more than anything I tried on my scalp…

Thanks for the hint

» Hey Wookster…
»
» I have been working with garlic for some time now…
» As i have previously posted garlic was the only “med” worked for me… I
» saw results.

» What i have been doing is smashing garlic and place it on the head for

» The bad thing is garlic odor remains on your head… and that is a

» Have you been able to experiment with garlic? Have you found any ways to

Hi. I use garlic as well but I use it for i little period of time so I can not see a difference yet. I can help you with how to make the garlic easy to use. What I do is I use a grater and the garlic becomes like mash. Then I put it in a wet wipe which and I squiz the liquid on my head then I spread it all over the scalp.I do this every day before going to bed.
My question to you is how often were you doing it? And are you certain with the results of it?
Does garlic help for the most common man baldness? Is this your case?
Thank you.

What happened with this experiment?
