PRP with Dr. Greco

My personal opinion is that there probably is some truth to PRP but more so as a pre-transplant procedure (just before a transplant) to improve survivability of transplanted hair follicles.

Whether it can awaken hair follicles long since decimated by DHT and wounded by the derma roller, i’m more doubtful.

This stupid 2 minute limit on editing the message really sucks.

I had a crazy idea to kick off a trend in do-it-yourself PRP therapy.

All you would need is :

1 x disposable syringe
1 x centrifuge (either build it or buy it)
1 x derma roller (buy it)
1 x rubbing alcohol
1 x rubber gloves (comes with your toilet brush)
Knowledge of Aseptic/Sterile technique (very important unless you want blood poisioning)
… and some balls.

draw your own blood from the arm, spin the stuff in the centrifuge, extract the platelet layer, inject the goodies into your scalp (without anesthetic!) and run the derma roller over your noggin. Instead of doing it once and sitting back for months to wait for results like Dr. Jones, do it once a week.

I’d like to see what the outcome of that would be. Of course, stay on propecia/avodart or the whole PRP thing is useless as DHT’s destruction will wreck & mask any benefit from PRP.

Anyone crazy enough to do the above ?
