Newmane - 6954 bh + 518 scalp FUSE update

Dear forum readers,
The forum poster Newmane has undergone 2 procedures at our clinic.
The first one of 4359 BHT in May 2005 and 3113 grafts (including 518 scalp grafts) in Oct 2006.

He recently sent us pictures of his progress that I would like to share with you all. The hair have been parted in different places to give an idea of the growth and density in natural daylight conditions.

Newmane’s 9 month update following his first BHT with us, is available at this link.

4350 body hair grafts were used (chest, abdomen, thigh and calf areas being the donor).

Before-after at 9 months after 1st BHT.

Newmane’s 1 week post op (after 1st BHT) thread is at this link.

Regards,
Dr. A

I am very curious to know how the chest & legs heal from this type of procedure. In the future, can you please include large photos of how the donor area has healed ?
Thank you.

This is a good example how bh should be used to add to a previous ht. Now the donor sources"chest, abdomen, thigh and calf areas being the donor).'just under 7000 bh and from where ? Chest and abdomen! and yes you can if desperate enough use thigh hair because that is where it usually is going to be most robust on that part of the leg. Compare this to some of the patients that are getting 15000 bh. With mostly the weaker hairs this result will be better.

Dear Damon,
We usually post pictures of all areas, donor and recipient, when the patient visits us.
I will keep your request in mind for future.

Dr. A

Very nice result.

Definitely an improvement, not bad.

Great result… the patient must be DELIGHTED.

Dr. Arvind his hair looks very natural to me, not like body hair at all, how you do feel about what you said in another thread that body hair does not take on appearance of scalp hair?

I agree this is the most natural BHT ive ever seen. I think heliboys might be thicker but this one looks much more like head hair rather than body hair.

Dear Johnp,
There is difference in the two things.

  1. After transplant to the scalp, the transplanted body hair blends in nicely with the scalp hair.

  2. The transplanted body hair, however, does not take on characteristics of the scalp hair. Especially in terms of hair cycles.
If you research Newmane’s past posts, you will find his comments where he mentioned a cyclical variation in the coverage provided by the transplanted body hair.
Its important to keep that in mind.

In short, the transplanted BH will look natural, without necessarily taking on all the characteristics of the scalp hair.

Nice result.
I like the way you put it in short;Bh will approach scalp hairs characteristics( we are observing there is a change in their characteristics comparing to their previous location but they are not getting all of scalp hairs).
can we observe a complete metarmophose in the future ( after 10 years or 20 years ?).
