New product?

#1

I came across this produkt. It’s a new product and the company claims that it uses biomimetic peptides to induce new hair growth. They even claim to produce new hairfollicles. Kinda like a Histogen-like-topical. I’ve read about all the information on their website and it all sounds to good to be true. Some guys over on regrowth. com have started using it.What do you guys think of this? It’s called renokin. Google for it as I can’t seem to put links to theiur website in my post?

I would be very skeptical about any company that uses the phrase “biomimetic peptides”. Although “biomimetic” is a real word and scientists use it, it’s odd that it is being used here and seems they’re using the word just for effect, to make this stuff sound serious. “Biomimetic” means a synthetic compound which mimics or is essentially the same as a naturally-occurring one. Well, do they specify exactly what these “biomimetic” peptides are?

The whole “peptides” thing sounds like the WSMR brouhaha, which took up about 6 months of hysteria, investigations, accusations, etc. on this board around the early 2000’s. Fake website, fake company, fake product built on fake science.

I hear ya Roger. I hate to say it but I was actually one of the people who have contacted WSMR’s “Dr” Skinner a few years ago and used and paid for his socalled Pez-peptide. If I only knew back then what I know now. After some research ( old hairsiteposts ) I even found out that the WSMR website was buid with help, or by, one of the posters of this website. Can’t believe I fell for that s.c.a.m.

there was some thing i noted regarding this product over at hair loss fight forum a couple of months back regarding the company (who came up with the ingredients to this renokin product) and trx2.

“has anyone noticed one of the pictures on page 43 of the pdf file below is the same picture used on thomas whitfields website as part of the logo? http://www.trx2.com/
http://www.in-cosmeticsasia.com/ExhibitorLibrary/110/CAREGEN_Catalogue-C_1.pdf

probably just a coincidence.
