I recently built the courage, went to Turkey and got a hair transplant this past December and I’d like to share my experience.
I am a 27 year old, been gradually balding since I was 20 and I have always had the thought of having a hair transplant but was too hesitant about the idea. This past summer, I saw an old time friend I haven’t seen in years who had a hair transplant and his results looked incredible which convinced me to go to the same clinic he had his transplant in, Vera Clinic.
I contacted Vera Clinic and the whole process from the start to finish was very smooth sailing. There was a representative who guided me through the different packages, the costs, procedures and answered all the queries I had(and still have). I had compared other clinics as well but Vera stood out the most to me, especially seeing the results of my friend.
My trip to Istanbul was 4 days in total. I went with another friend who also had a hair transplant which made the trip more enjoyable. We were picked up from the airport and escorted to a really nice hotel.
Next day was the operation. I was quite nervous and didn’t know what to expect. When we arrived, the staff were really comforting, doctor was very honest and explained the entire procedure thoroughly.
My operation in total was about 7 hours including breaks. The numbing procedure was the only uncomfortable part but thankfully it was only for 1-2 minutes. The rest of the procedure was just laying down as they did their work. I had 5000 transplanted grafts in total.
The first few nights after the transplant were slightly uncomfortable as expected but then it gradually got better day by day. They did provide post-op medications and instructions which helped.
It’s been 2 months since my hair transplant and I’m starting to see great progress. The hair stands are still thin but definitely growing. I’m applying all the supplements and medications they provided and I can’t wait to see how it progresses over time.
Overall, I’m grateful with my experience. I’m sure you can find many good hair transplant clinics but I definitely would recommend Vera Clinic for its professionalism and great care!
