your swelling after the strip is honestly not that bad i have seen much worse including myself.

Thanks for posting your progress Muscleboy. It really helps guys like me to view your progress. I had about 2400 grafts in the hairline in late May of this year and am patiently waiting for new growth. It looks like you stayed in exactly the same room that I did at the Marriot!

One thing I have not gotten used to is how they shaved the front portion of my head to place the grafts. Because I have a scar from a previous surgery, I cannot shave the rest of my head to even things out. I knew the shaving was coming but I thought it may only be about 1" in along the hairline.

I look forward to reading your progress. I will post my own photos at the 4 month mark.

I had the worst swelling after strip ever…I win:)
Maybe someday I’ll have the balls to post pics postop but it wasnt pretty.

Wow, my swelling after strip wasn’t that bad?? My entire head was like a balloon and my eyes were nearly shut. I guess I dodged a worse bullet at the time huh? ;). With Fue though, swelling was mild and is gone completely at 6 days post op.

Jacko I can’t wait to see your pictures! Do keep us posted buddy.

Hey everyone, these are my day 6 post op pictures. Similar to last year, the purpose of the day to day update is to inform people of what the post op recovery period really looks like (as I always wanted to know about this prior to having my first procedure). In my case, FUE has by far been a much easier surgery to recover from. I do want to add that staying at a hotel for a week is beneficial because you get to make sure that the environment is super clean and you have a comfortable chair to sleep on. I leave back to NY tomorrow morning, so this is my last night in Toronto. I want to thank Dr. Armani and his entire staff for doing a great job in helping me this entire week. I can’t wait to see my results in a couple of months. I know there’s some more work to be done right behind the hairline, so that will be the next step for me. I will continue to post updates once I get home, but the quality of the pictures may not be as great due to lighting. Here are my day 6 pics:

The worst swelling ive ever seen was from this h&w patient who had over 7000 grafts placed in one session, it was crazy how much this guy puffed up.

Jacko,

Did you send me your BEFORE pics already? I will set up a journal for you. hairsite@aol.com

Thanks.

I’ll look forward to your pics.

Haisite,

No I have not. I’ll wait until the 4 month mark with my progress pictures before sending them. There at least you will be able to see some progress instead of just the before pictures.
