Does minoxidil make your face puffy and swollen?

I have been using minoxidil for at least 4-5 months and lately I see that my face seems kind of puffy like it is retaining water or something, has anyone experienced the same with minoxidil?

Puffy and swollen face via Minox/Rogaine? Yep! You better believe it. Seems to be pretty common. Ive dealt with this problem for years now at my twice more than directed dose. Having my hair is WELL worth it though. DONT let it keep you from maintaining,regaining your hair with Minox or Rogaine. Its a GREAT product for those that respond. Best regards, J

ditto, I think minoxidil does make my face more puffy , either that or I am getting old and saggy.

it usually does make my face a little puffy but only after i use it. then it subsides.

my face is also becomes more red.

to be expected i think since this is heart medication

It has happened to me before. Lately I haven’t noticed it since I have gained some weight:-(

Has any one had an experience with oral minoxidil?
Is it the same as applying it topically?better/worse?

Earlier Minixidol came to this world as a treatment for high blood pressure . Question is that it is not recommended for high blood pressure now. Reason may be side effects.

My issue with minox is that it gives me dark circles under the eyes. I believe this might be because it affects your body pressure! I used it religiously for 2 months on holiday and it did seem to have a small positive affect although I am waiting for my recent HT to come to any fruition! I can feel tiny hairs growing and wonder if that is the result of the minox since the HT grow wouldn’t have come through at the 2 month mark if it will at all!
