I just wanted to share my experience of meeting Bobman in person last week. And sorry if I posted in the wrong forum Hairsite, I wasn’t sure where to post this at.
First, I just want to thank you again Bob for coming down and meeting me in person last Saturday, it was a very nice thing for you to do, that you didn’t have to do.
Bob’s results were very good, and I was very impressed. His results looked very good in person, no different than the great results we see online. The hairline looks natural, and the temples from his third surgery have really helped frame his face even more. Ofcourse he doens’t have the density he would have had before he started losing his hair, but he has hair, he is not bald, and he has excellent coverage. Even no one told me that he had a hair transplant I would have never known.
I think one of the things that really amazed me the most was how thin his scar was, and how very unnoticable it was as well. I was not even considering to do Strip, but I keep seeing great results from H&W on-line so I had to see for myself in person. As I recall too, Bob’s scar was before they even did the trico closure technique as well, so scarring on other patients is probably even better. I am not naive though, I know that scars can be prone to stretching, but I was very impressed with this, not to mention the now amazing head of hair that this previously bald man now has.
Bob’s results are awesome, and it is an inspiration to me to believe that I too could get just as good a result or better.
Again, congrats Bob, and thanks for meeting up with me. Great results, and an even greater guy.

» Where his Bobman located?
He lives in Milwaukee, I live close to Chicagoland, so it was easy for me to meet up with him.
» missmyhair, does it change your mind about getting fue after meeting with
» him?
Meeting with him kind of put me over the top on considering strip w/ H&W. I really am not seeing any other doctors consistently putting out as good of a result as H&W, in strip anyway. And Armani is way out of my price range with FUE.
The big thing for me holding me back with strip is the scar b/c I do like to wear my hair somewhat short, and it is nice to have the option to shave my head too, if I were to lose more hair. Bob’s scar is thin, and I imagine mine could be even thinner b/c of the trico closure technique. Also, one can get FUE into the scars as well.
Another factor is it seems to me that people generally get more hair growing out of strip than they do if they got the same amount of graphs FUE.
I was also impressed with the hairline and the temples. They look natural.
I am very much considering doing my first HT early next year w/ H&W. I want to have my hairline and temples done, and using what else they can pull to fill in my crown. After that I would like to come in a year later and finish off the crown.
I’m just a little concerned about future hair loss for me. But I am thinking that there will be advances in the science of hair growth within the next 20 years so I am not too worried about that, and if I really need to go this route, I would consider doing BHT as filler, as I would already have my hairline from H&W.
Thanks Chris! It was a pleasure to meet you as well. I’m sure you’ll have amazing results when all is said and done. When it comes to “giving back” to this community…it’s no trouble at all. I remember what it was like when I was starting on my quest. I was obsessed with finding all that I could to make the right choice. Looking forward to hearing from you again, after your first surgery. Take care and God Bless.
