Just E-Mailed Doctors about Acell

» are none of you gun jumpers worried about the possible cancer implications

If it kills me instead of growing hair, it will put me out of my misery.

I agree. I’m willing to risk my pathetic life for a full head of hair.

acell does not involve wnt signalling. Its extracted cells from a pig’s bladder. These are two different things.

not quite true, benji. a wound left alone, open, will engender stem-cell like conitions that activate WNT signalling and hence hair growth. acell is the same wound with an acellular matrix that further promotes stem-cell like conditions. as far as tumors, that doesn’t appear to be a problem in most recent researhc using wounding and/or WNT promoting topicals. But screwing around with the genes WILL cause tumors, but most likely benign ones.

Follica has a lot of science backing it up… I consider it a solid contender in the hair loss race.

BB, if thats the case…then men could get FUE’s and simply not allow anything to touch the donor holes for a few weeks, letting them bleed and heal completely naturally, and wnt would be upregulated and new hairs should form in the middle of them?
