I got an email from Gail Naughton regarding Histogen Trials

» <<Plus, the reality is that they could put their treatment into the
» marketplace anytime they want to.>>
» ----------
» Yeah, and headlines like “Histogen kills consumers by releasing unapproved
» hair loss treatment into unregulated market” should do wonders for their
» reputation.
» ----------
» <<It is common sense that there is no way Histogen’s treatments are going
» to hurt anyone.>>
» ----------
» You really are clueless. Here’s a hint for you: there’s a good reason why
» Histogen’s scientific advisory board has oncology specialists.
» ----------
» <<Your post shows your ignorance of the situation because anyone who knows
» about these kinds of things knows that multiple delays in these types of
» situations are not all that common.>>
» ----------
» If you think that slipped schedules in clinical trials are “not all that
» common,” you obviously have precious little experience with clinical
» trials.

Good post, I have to say.
Histogen is working with so-called Wnt-proteins, whereby the material is basically derived from little babies penis foreskin. All in all, I’m not sure whether or not I should mention that at all, because guys like “googoo” are crazy enough and could cut of little babies penis’, put it in a meat grinder, and inject themself the meat grinder’s outcome - for some hairs, they won’t grow.

Seriously, some users, Dr. Cooley and I discussed this issue in another hair loss board recently, and the discussion concluded that Histogen’s “Hair Stimulating Complex” is surely NOT “a completely riskless” procedure/treatment.

What do you think the risks are?

<<What do you think the risks are?>>

Any sort of treatment in this field may have the potential to cause unregulated cell growth, more commonly known as “cancer.” Just because the treatment is made from substances already found in the human body doesn’t mean it can’t have such a result – the human body already manages to create cancer on its own without the introduction of any foreign substances.

If I understood their most recent press release, use of their technique has actually been found to surpress cancerous tissue growth.

They’ve already said that several variants of Wnt protien that are known to cause cancer, are NOT in the HSC.
