I got an email from Gail Naughton regarding Histogen Trials

Although I’m disappointed by Histogen’s latest delay, I’m still willing to cut them some slack. I think they’re doing the best they can under the circumstances. Heck, I’m surprised to see they’re still kicking after their lawsuit and staff layoffs.

I’m still hoping Histogen can meet the 2015 timeframe they set back in 2008.

I recall them saying that their time frame for putting this treatment into the marketplace is 2013. I don’t know what you mean by “cut them some slack.” If you mean you aren’t going to storm their walls, well then I agree with that, but I do think that there is nothing wrong with healthy deserved critical observations. I think it’s fair to say that these people are doing a Mickey Mouse operation because they can not get it right in terms of start dates. It is not common to have all these delays if a company has its’ act together. Now, I admit that they have a very promising treatment for hair loss, but there constant delays do make me wish that some other company, like Merck, had the rights to this treatment instead of the people who are running that show. Again, there is no real reason why they haven’t put it on the market in parts of the world already. They could do that while also having these trials, and their trial delays that they can’t seem to avoid.

So what is their timeline saying? 2013?
googoo, you think we’re going to have a treatment tomorrow the way you are talking. These things take time. If they didnt we woudld already have a “cure”

Their timeline says 2013 in Asia, but I would not count on their timeline for anything because it’s constantly changing.

And what I’m saying is that in America we have a rigorous and tedious testing process run by the FDA. And typically this is good, but in the specific case of the histogen treatment they are not putting anything into the skin that wasn’t already there in the past so there isn’t really a question about safety, but because America is so demanding about testing everything this treatment will have to be tested just all other treatments. But it really isn’t necessary and that is common sense. They could put this treatment into the marketplace in other places besides America but they won’t. I talked to them about it and they definitely thought about it but for some reason they decided against it. I think they decided against it for stupid reasons.

They used to say 2013 for pan asia so now it is changed to 2014. only a fool would count on anything this company says. I hope acell in some form combined with something can get us our hair back so that we will stop being at the mercy of these companies like histogen that do not try hard enough to get the job done.

cough cough i would talk bad about Histogen, cause it seems that they already know what to do and its taking a little bit longer because they wanna secure their logisics and stuff.

Because they also know if they come to the market unprepared, they will regret it. And i think good Gail did a little Faux Pas because she talked about 2013  and nobody was expecting Histogen to release their stuff in 2013. Which is funny, maybe she knows exactly that they are doing fine.

If you keep arguing " Its a bad sing when the CEO answers your emails" i can say “Wll it could also be good, because everything is running as planned with no backlashes and they now only have to wait for the results, so she has some spare time”

It is possible that they have simply not updated their website. To be honest I was a little surprised at early 2013, thats a very short timeframe to bring something to market which hasnt started phase 1.

@ Kahlil … when did you receive the email from Histogen CEO ? Also, do you mind replying to it with a note to say the website shows 2014.

Cheers

If you are talking about Dr. Hitzig’s pictures then I will respond by saying that yes they are still missing hair but they are missing less hair than they were before Dr. Hitzig’s treatment. I will also say that they definitely looked bald in the before pics but in the after pics they look like they are thinninng instead of bald. There is considerable improvement.

I got the email response on the 19 of January, however i sent them an email regarding the time frame about two weeks prior, so it took a while to get the response from them.

I got another email from Eileen Brandt Naughton a few hours later, since i sent a mass email to Histogen two weeks ago.

Here was her response.

Dear Khalil,

Thank you for your interest and message. In response to your inquiry each country, including those you mention, has a regulatory agency which requires clinical trials and approval for drugs and biologic products. Histogen is currently working with these agencies both in the U.S. and in Pan-Asia, with the hopes of HSC market availability in some Pan-Asian countries in late 2013/early 2014. The company is also in preparations for the Phase I/II clinical trial beginning in Singapore this Spring.

We would be happy to add you to the HSC interest list, if you would like. We provide this list with updates on clinical trials, as well as plans for subject recruiting, as those progress. If I can answer any further questions, please feel free to contact me directly at the email below.

Thank you,

Eileen Brandt

As i recall, this was after ONE injection. Hair counts right upto the 12 mark month were increasing month over month based on that one injection alone. And this is despite the attack from DHT.

i wonder what would happen if we had this stuff injected into our scalp every month for 12 months straight and took avodart/propecia all the way plus minoxidil & nizoral 2% shampoo.

After 12 months like that, we’d be gunned down in the streets by zoo keepers who mistook us for apes.

This is exactly one of the points I am trying to make. We could get multiple f/ups of Dr. Hitzig’s new treatment/injections and possibly see better results. Plus, as you say we could also still use other products like minoxidil. Plus, Dr. Hitzig is right now even trying to figure out a way to enhance the situation by adding some kind of stem cell treatment to the mix.

i don’t think we’re done with this yet. I think there is more news coming in the reasonably near future about this new exciting treatment by Dr. Hitzig. I’m very impressed!!!

If this goes as planned, there is no use for Minox or Propecia any more. Read the patient side notes carefully. No one of them wanted to take medication OR get a hairtransplant done.

Thats exactly what most people here want. And to be honest, i dont give a rats as* about some emails a Khalil guy " got " by mass mailing them to Histogen. Who knows if those are real answers? Nobody does.

Minox is known for sure to regrow hair. But it doesn’t solve our baldness problems.

Compoundable results that last more than one hair cycle - these are the crucial questions. We don’t have any reason to get excited until that is known.

As i said before to stop hairloss should also have a high priority

We could magically stop all of our ongoing hair loss and Minox still would not fix our problems. (At least not without the addition of HTs or something.)

Using Minox for 1-2 years does not regrow enough hair to fix (most of) us. Using it for 5+ years does not regrow more hair than using it for 1-2 years. Minox’s results are not compoundable. We need something that is compoundable.

If the results are to be believed, Histogen’s effect on hair counts after a single treatment continues to improve one year on after baseline. The graph they have on their website shows some impressive numbers. And this is without any DHT blockers.

Just a guess - their magic liquid works by putting resting hair follicles into the growth phase.

But if that is all it does, it may not be of much use to a bald guy who’s hair follicles have already been ravaged and killed by DHT. Its not in a resting phase, its dead and gone.

I hope I’m wrong and their magic liquid actually generates new hair follicles.

<<Plus, the reality is that they could put their treatment into the marketplace anytime they want to.>>

Yeah, and headlines like “Histogen kills consumers by releasing unapproved hair loss treatment into unregulated market” should do wonders for their reputation.

<<It is common sense that there is no way Histogen’s treatments are going to hurt anyone.>>

You really are clueless. Here’s a hint for you: there’s a good reason why Histogen’s scientific advisory board has oncology specialists.

If you think that slipped schedules in clinical trials are “not all that common,” you obviously have precious little experience with clinical trials.
