How to apply topical minoxidil
Topical minoxidil solution is used twice daily (1 mL or 25 drops twice a day) on a dry scalp. The hair is parted five times, and five drops per part are applied directly to the fronto-parietal and vertex scalp, preferably by using a dropper. The lotion can be spread with the fingers; massage is not necessary. The patient can then apply styling products. The lotion should stay on the scalp for at least 4 hours before the next shower.
