How long does scalp micro tattoo last?

can someone tell me how long does scalp micro pigmentation tattoo usually last? I know this is supposed to be temporary or semi permanent, are we talking about 6 months? 1 year?

How long is a good question, but there is no 100% answer.

First of all it depends on the pigments used.
Secondly the pigments need to be placed correctly.

Other determining factors
Sport : if you sweat a lot it will make the pigments fade faster
UV radiation : do you live in an sunny place and hit the beach often … it will fade faster.
If you use the shaven look it will fade faster then when using SMP for enhancing density between existign hair.

On average we believe about 12 months will be achievable for most men and woman.

HPCFlorida answer:
We agree with the previous answer, but we would like to add that from our own experience, another factor to consider is what is the natural skin and hair pigment of the client. This will also help determine for how long the hair follicle replication procedure will look as when initially done, without the need for any touch-ups. For patients with natural darker skin tones, and with natural dark brown or black hair the treatment can last up to 3 years.
That is one of the reasons why Scalp Micropigmentation is such a perfect solution for those clients who want an immediate change in their look, but may want some flexibility in their hair loss management. The client can decide in the future if to perform a touch up or add more density to the existing SMP as the hair loss process continues.

When in doubt, visit a scalp micropigmentation specialist!

The prices have to come down , I keep getting quotes near the $3000 range to fix my strip scars, I think that is expensive for a temporary treatment. I like the idea of SMP but it has to be affordable too.
