Herbal Essential oil Scalp Tonics

As there was a good thread on Piroctone Olamine and lots of response ( via links) in terms of where such a shampoo can be sourced.

It might be useful to see which Herbal Essential oil Scalp Tonic brands people are using also. Any links would be appreciated.

Jacob/All

As youve looked into multiple shampoos and topicals over the years
I had a few questions for you:

  1. How many shmapoos do you use during the week?
  2. Which shampoos do you use?
  3. Which Topicals do you use?
  4. Although I feel the shampoos I use are good I want to add a couple more to cover all bases - what do you think of Ducray and Phyto brand ( specifically for oiliness / hairloss ) ?
  5. Is there anything new ( shampoos /topicals ) that you would like to try at some point?
  6. What results have you had with your regime ?
  7. Have you ever tried a sulphur based shampoo?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Pete

» 1) How many shmapoos do you use during the week?

Up to 10 different ones. Rotate, baby!

» 2) Which shampoos do you use?

Micellarin Green…the Morrocco Method line(4)…Lamas Chinese herbal…Nfruizon volumizing…Inflamil(only when needed)…Premier All Natural Shampoo…Wysong…

» 3) Which Topicals do you use?

Evenings: Mainly a custom one by Elsom Research. Also their Equisomin, NanoScalp, and Zormazor. Mornings: Stymulactine 21 every other day and the TB4 product by Jan Marini(select areas). Inflamil when needed. May be switching from the 21 product to that P Factor line…or rotate the two.

I’ve always thought the Phyto brand was good. Only tried a couple of theirs over the years though.

Besides the P Factor mentioned above…probably another custom one to replace the one I’m using- using some of the same ingreds. I had some shampoo picked out- will post them when I come across them again.

» 6) What results have you had with your regime ?

Not bad.

» 7) Have you ever tried a sulphur based shampoo?

An MSM one…that’s about it as far as I can remember…

Jacob, what share of the work would you attribute to Equisomin in terms of antihairloss efficiency? Do you remember seeing any difference when you began this one?

Whats so good about P factor line compared to others?

Any experience of Clay shampoos for oiliness (Ducray have one )?

Thanks for taking the time to answer those questions - I think they may help others on the board also.

Couldn’t tell you. I use and have used too many other things along with it. Although…

…the biggest difference I noticed was in my “scalp health”. I may go back to using it more…dunno yet.

It has laminaria in it…cu peptides…procyanidins. Tons of products out there these days but this one just interests me more because of the laminaria. Actually I’m going to wait until I receive the literature on their updated products before making a decision.

Why something like this and not an Elsom product? I still may go with an Elsom product. I doubt the P Factor products are liposomal. They probably are better suited for daytime use though- one of the reasons I went with the 21 product.

Not shampoo…but sorta a hair mask. I forget what it was called…Rhassoul maybe? I did it more for “detox” though.

Or make them roll their eyes. :lookaround:

Here’s one 'poo I’d like to try this winter: http://www.inkomfe-usa.com/acatalog/inkomfe_Special_Scalp_Wash.html

Been looking for a Marula oil containing one.
