@Hairsite: is there any way to jump directly to the HM forum?

Each time I want to enter the HM forum, I have to pass through the HT forum.
Is there any way to avoid this?

It is very important to have a direct link to the HM forum, for example, if you want to tell a person the URL of the HM forum. Otherwise, this person could be confused if he enters the HT forum instead of the HM forum.

thanks!

it works now, but is it durable? I mean, I have experienced that the forum tends to bounce me back to the HT forum when I try to return to the HM forum…

well, nevermind… I will bookmark this link and see if it lasts.

Not sure if this helps but it seems you have to click from a favorite twice or refresh to go to where you want using the I.E. No idea why.

No, this is not the problem.
Well, I am going to try to reproduce the problem again, so that I can be precise of what happens. The problem appears after some minutes inactive. I will be back.

The problem appears, for example, in this case:

  1. Close the browser (IE).
  2. Open the browser.
  3. Go to www.hairsite.com
  4. In the horizontal menu above, choose “Hair Multiplication”.
  5. This takes you to the URL= http://www.hairsite.com/hair-multiplication.htm
  6. There, click on “Hair Multiplication Forum - Current”.
  7. This takes you to URL=http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss/forum.php
This is not the HM forum, but a “All categories” forum.
  8. Then you have to choose, in the drop-down menu: “Hair Multiplication and Research”, and you finally reach the HM Forum, with URL= http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss/forum.html?category=1

Also, there are other instances when I go to the ALL-CATEGORIES forum by error.
For example, when I have a thread on screen, and after some minutes I click on “Back to Forum”, it will take me to the All Categories forum, not the HM forum.

In this “all categories” forum, most of the post belong to the HT forum, as it is the most active forum.

Am I the only one with this problem?

Spanish Dude, i have the same problem on my blackberry…

the link that says “hair multiplication forum” doesn’t actually link to the hm forum, it links to a MIXED forum that has ht + hm threads all together…

when i try to navigate to the hm forum from there, it doesn’t let me.

there is a problem with the links…

when I am inside a thread, and leave the window open for 45 minutes,
and I click Back to forum, it goes back to the “All categories forum”,
instead the HM forum. very annoying.

yes, thats the problem. And when you are inside a thread of this forum, and wait 45 minutes or more, and click “Back to forum”, it will direct you to the mixed forum.
This mixed forum is flooded with threads from the HT forum, which is not interesting to me.

Hanging, it doesn’t work!

If I close my browser (IE), and then I open it again, and then I copy the URL you provided on the adress line,
http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss/forum.html?category=1

then it takes me the “All Categories” forum,
that is, the mixed forum. Then you have to choose HM in the forum drop down list.

must be some type of cache in your browser, or some glitch
mine works fine…but then sometimes my direct links take me to a jump page, oh well who cares takes like a second to do the pulldown menu thing

I am looking into this right now. Out of curiosity, are you using BOARD view or THREAD view?

What if you use the BACK TO FORUM link instead of clicking the BACK button on your browser?

See screen shot below.

I updated the link on this page, let me know if it makes any difference.

This link takes me directly to the HM Forum everytime…

http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss/board.php?category=1

I know that this section got famous with its title Hair multiplication and research (considerations for Optimization for Google) but it seems to me that its time to consider renaming it…After all the Hair multiplication is not our best horse in research, not anymore, so somehow the Hairmultipplication expression in the title is getting arguable.

I always use Thread View.
I have tried to switch to Board view, but when I reenter the forum, it appears in Thread View again.

» What if you use the BACK TO FORUM link instead of clicking the BACK button
» on your browser?

That is what I was using. The “Back to Forum” button.

-I closed the browser.
-Opened the browser again.
-Then went to: http://www.hairsite.com/hair-multiplication.htm
-Then I clicked the link for the forum,
-But it took me to the mixed forum, same as before.

if I log out, then no problem.
For example, if I close the browser, and reopen it again, and go to the link:
http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss/forum.html?category=1

it goes directly to the HM forum.

So the problem must be in the cookie, or in the browser’s cache as Hanging speculated.
