for a while I have been thinking that there has not been enough cross fertilisation of ideas between these two disciplines and that we do not have the best options as a consequence.
A few examples.
Endoscopic cosmetic surgery is common place. An important aspect is visualisation and preservation of nerves that run through the scull. This allows for a lot of undermining without problems. Such a technique might greatly imp[rove the possibilities of scalp lift and / or strip closure.
The above technique could allow FUE from the inside out!!!
In a face lift hair baring tissue from the side and back of the head is often removed and thrown away. OUCH!!!
Brow lifts and HT could be integrated for better results from both perspectives.
