This patient was suffering from hair loss in the crown, hairline recession and thinning on top of his head.
Dr. Umar used 10,000 grafts that combined follicles from the head, beard and nape. About 8000 grafts were harvested from the head and nape. And about 2000 came from the beard.
The surgery was divided into two sessions. The first session achieved a transplant of 9000 grafts of head, nape and beard hair. And in the second session, 1000 grafts of head hair were reinserted into the recipient areas.
The patient continues to have a good supply of head donor hair which can be used if he wants to supplement his results with future surgeries.
Really? 9000 the first session and 1000 the second? There was no way to fit the additonal 1000 grafts during the first session? He wasn’t really that bald, I am surprised he needed 10,000 grafts.

Good result. And does anybody do temples better than Dr. Umar? I don’t think so. It’s too bad that after 10,000 grafts, the top is not thicker, especially since only 2,000 came from the beard and the rest was head/nape. Any estimate of the number of grafts that did not take? Thanks.

Hi. This is pretty good facial framing. Can you please tell me how the surgery was divided into two sessions? Were 9000 grafts done in one day or a series of days and then later on the patient came back for another session to cover the other 1000? How many grafts does Dr. Umar extract in a given day and does he use automatic or manual punch? What were the punch sizes used. Thanks.
I think this is disappointing that after 10,000 grafts and the hairline is still very weak. I am not asking for a thick hairline but with 10,000 grafts I would expect more density along the frontal hairline. I can clearly see through the scalp from the video.

I agree, his face is framed very nicely for sure but I would expect more with 10000 grafts when he wasn’t even all that bald to begin with.

I heard beard/body hair etc. have REALLY bad yields… I’ve heard horror stories of 25% yield, so I imagine that all 10,000 did not grow… also 10k isn’t really that much unfortunately… FULL resoration of nw7 will take 14-18k

Disappointing? What have you been smoking?
the temples are moved forward alot framing the face
he has covered a very large area on top
to get an ever thicker appearence, he needs 5000 more grafts
Patient should have definitely should have forgone such an aggressive hairline in favor of more density. He looks ridiculous with a NW0 hairline, but with no density to compliment it.
I’d say so. Who really knows what this guy looks like in person, but I don’t know that a very bald person can expect much more from 10,000 grafts. That is a ton of area to cover especially with that lowish hairline.
u guys must be smoking crack or something cause he looks like he has a full head of hair now. I think there is some jealous haters posting here more then anything.
most of these haters would gave their left nut to have a full head of hair like that. not to mention his scalp is white as mile. with a little sun on his head he would look even fuller.
and I like that his doctor created a low hairline vs. a high hairline that simply makes most people look less balding then they did before the HT.
Dr. Umar definately knows how to create a hairline.
The feedback would be much better if it was 5000 grafts. I don’t think it looks unnatural. Some guys do thin out like that without receding. It’s just not as dense as we want to see from that number of grafts.
It’s another example of what we’ve seen repeatedly over the years - A doc can move 10,000 little chunks of skin around, but that isn’t the same thing as getting 10,000 grafts worth of visual improvement.
