Hair loss products after a hair transplant

#1

Are there any hair loss products that most people have to use or must use after a hair transplant?

Define “must” use.

There are no specific products that physically must be used after a HT. (other than possible temporary stuff for healing up the wounds in the first a few weeks)

But HTs to restore the front of your head dont look very natural if you continue to rapidly lose all the hair behind them. So MPB meds aren’t a physical/medical NEED in the long term after HT work. But artistically speaking, you are asking for trouble to get HTs without including long-term med use as part of your efforts.

And to be perfectly blunt, a lot of HT clinics will tell you that you must use MPB meds just because it will make their results look better. If you begin using meds at the same time that you first get a HT, then you will be first seeing the results of the meds at about the same time as the transplanted hairs really begin to make their presence felt on your appearance.

Fred you might want to clarify your question. Are you talking about meds, products used to heal after a transplant or products used to style your transplanted hair once grown out?

Sorry, I am talking about products or meds that are necessary to heal after the surgery.

Your doctor should provide you with medications after your procedure.

Speaking of which, can you post Armani’s post op instructions and any meds that patients are asked to use?

Post op instructions as well as medications are given to our patients when they come in for their post op cleaning the day after the procedure. Everything is covered in great detail including how to care for the grafts and medications / ointments to use.

My doctor gave me antibiotics to prevent infection but he said it’s up to me whether I want to use antibiotics or not.

The clinic (in Armani’s case, not sure of the others but im sure its similar) will provide you with a pretty extensive booklet…

It will have the post op instructions, long and short term reccomendations for your physical restrictions (exercise limitations, etc…), a various number of phone numbers that you can call at any time in case of emergency, some anti inflamation meds, antibiotics, instructions to properly clean and care for the grafts… etc…

And on an artistic side lol, the package is really nice and well designed. Small things matter! lol

Its very detailed and very well put together… You have no worries man

Hope this helped…

Cheers

MoM

It’s a simple request, you can’t just copy and paste here?

Sorry, our post op regimen is provided to and is for the care of our patients. I do not see the need to post it in the forums.

Are you telling me that Armani only gives out the post op regimen to his patients after the surgery?

Not at all, the Post op instructions are sent out in our welcome packet once a patient decides to schedule a procedure. Everything is gone over with their consultant well ahead of time as well.
