Last thursday I have a bht test session with dr. epstein. He did 25 grafts from mainly my chest but some from back and shoulders. I had prp injected into the recipient site as well as the grafts bathed in prp.
He did say my bht hairs were amazing. They came out very very easily and “looked” identical to scalp grafts.
I will probably do atleast a 500 graft ALL BACK HAIR session next time. Even if they dont grow getting that hair off my back and traps will be huge. Laser did nothing to get rid of them.

Stephenl… I have had numerous debates on numerous sites about the “pricing” of BHT. Most BHT’s (not all but 90+% in my experience) are 1 haired grafts.
Obviously, 1 haired grafts do not have the impact of 2’s, 3’s, or 4 haired grafts. So there are two sides to a debate.

The price per graft should be markedly lower than a normal per graft scalp graft. however…

The BHT extraction has the same difficulty or more than an average FUE graft extraction so the price is warranted.
But the fact still remains that a 1 haired graft will not provide the density of a normal scalp 2,3, or 4 haired graft… And many times the coarseness of a BHT lacks that of a scalp hair.

Acutally during extraction they kept commenting that iwas weird I had a lot of doubles.
