when you did the first year lets say of the Nizoral , do you think most of your progress was attributable to the Nizoral
I am now on the 2 percent once a day, and leave it on for at least 10 mins sometimes 15, so far so good, for one week
no itching or shedding or negative side effects

I got results within 6 months, but remember I used many other things as well.
I also got a lot of shedding leaving Nizoral in that long; I now make my own Ketoconazole topical.

Nizoral’s key ingredient, ketoconazole, stays in the dermis at theraputic concnentration for over 72 hours. Washing with it once every three days should be plenty. Leave in for a minute or so for it to penetrate deeply. That should be enough. Peter Proctor, creator of NANO shampoo, advises users to leave his shampoo in for one to two minutes max.
Its only made to be used 2-3 times a week by the manufacturer. It will give you a dry scalp if you use it every day. Ketoconazole at 1600mgs a day internally is stronger than internal spironolactone or even flutamide as an anti-androgen. It inhbits formation of male hormones through inhibition of a molecular pathway. It has other uses as a drug though, and is anti-microbial also.

when you say you got results in 6 months you started all that other stuff at the same time you started nizoral?
I thought you said you left it in for 20 mins sometimes

Hangin, be careful with the Nizoral shampoo, it contains some harsh stuff (Hydrochloric acid). Some people have complained about increased hair loss with excessive use.
The people in the study used the cream, not the shampoo:

Uh oh chia pet…you’re asking for it.
Those guys want to believe that Nizoral (a.k.a. Embalming Fluid) is totally harmless.

the lotion does not contail Hcl? hydrochloric acid? wonder where you get the lotion, or is that a cream, I wonder if gc1961 was using the shampoo i thought he was
Ok I think I will switch to the Nizoral Cream, it contains neither the controversial embalming fluid ingredient, nor does it contain hydrochloric acid
however it does contain the keto,
the participants of the japanese study, did use the cream, as you said
I think the shampoo has some possible shedding possibilities, as gc said,
that may be the Hcl in the shampoo who knows
Where can we find the cream? I only see Nizoral shampoo at my local drug store.

im in the philippines, I think both the cream and the shampoo are prescription
here i can get them without one but they are still behind the counter with all the drugs , with the pharmacist
i had no problem finding the shampoo, have not tried to ask for the cream yet, will find out soon

Uh…Hangin’? 
I found the cream on ebay without a prescription. It’ll come from Thailand. Lately I haven’t found as much being sold though. The stuff I bought was 2%.

yes it must have been something he ate for breakfast that regrew all that hair jacob…could have also been the placebo effect
