For Hairsite - No more speculation

I was told it is very common in the biotech/pharma industry for smaller >>firms to partner with larger companies for large scale trials.

Hairsite, please ask them!
Is it very commmon in the biotech/pharma industry for smaller firms to give obscure results?

That is:

  1. percentage of injection for resident hairs!!! and not for number of injection (how many resident hairs were there??? 15??? and 105% does mean 15-20 hairs more??? fantastic result???)

  2. no more numerical results are reported in march 08

  3. 66 new hairs in phase I (safety) and only 15-20 hair in phase II (efficacy)??? strange!

  4. where is the small -at short term- commercialization of TRC??

  5. Bosley was a partner only for distribution, not for the development in phase III of TRC.

No, Hairsite, the product’s efficacy is not great as we hoped!!!

Not a problem. I will see what I can do.

I bet the story was different.

They never said 66 hair, some journalist made it up and other journalists jumped on it. Then it is kinda hard to stop it. Especially when every time the story is retold, it gets better.

A lot of claims were exagerrated here on this board by the same people who now complain that the result is not the same of what they made up in their minds and repeated on these boards for so long that they started believing it was genuine information comming directly from ICX.

It is normal for treatments to go bust in phase II completely (and TRC still didn’t). Once again, ppl on this board wanted desperately believe that passing phase I means cure in 2008 or 2009 as the latest. This is not true and never was. Research fails more often then succeeds.

So what you guys are talking about? Why do you complain? You are victims of your own wild speculative dreams that never were true in the first place.

well said

Well Hanging to be fair it is also possible and logical that they would refrain from funding the research solely for financial reasons. They are running out of money. If the technique does not deliver thick hair, it may not be worth spending the millions of pounds for the small company like ICX who would have a struggle marketing it.

But once again, I would not blame ICX for something that’s result of false hopes made up by desperate guys including the members of this board. ICX never said that the technique gives anyone anything close to a full head of hair. In fact they never said much about the efficiancy. If you believed that it was the golden bullet. Then frankly you believed in something that was not based on the official information. So do not complain.

The pipedreams should have a smallprint attached because all this grief is becoming ridiculous.

Yes. The whole thing has a life of its own. It’s best to read what we can and form our own opinions rather than getting all excited or emotional in the forum.

I am sure more factual information will unfold as we go along. Will update everyone in due course if I learn of anything meaningful.

Thx. Very much.
I appreciate it.

Debris and Hairsite, what claims are you saying???

From Dr. Kemp’s Interview on Hairsite site:

http://www.hairsite.com/intercytex-hair-multiplication.htm

Among the 7 subjects that were enrolled for phase I, 5 reported an increase in hair numbers. Dr. Kemp, being one of the test subjects himself, reported an improvement of about 66 new hairs as a result of the 100 injections.

I understand it there to be a part of an introduction to the problem… The story got retold. No one to blame but no one to complain to as well. We are all adults and thus should have an ability to understand what is and what is not an official information, and the implications of this subtle but important difference.

??? are you a politician?

I’m a researcher. 43 years old.

ICX did once say they hoped to conduct phase III in both the UK and USA.

If they are indeed running out of money they couldn’t do this.

If they partner with the likes of Bosley, then it would be possible for them do this.

Debris, you are out of your mind.
The fact that Paul Kemp participated in the trial (Phase Ia), and got 66 new hairs, was trumpeted all over the media, and never, never, Paul Kemp denied it.

If that was just a fantasy, and Paul Kemp didn’t bother to deny it, then the scenario is much worse than I thought.

and yes, the test were 100 injections in phase Ia.
66 hairs per 100 injections. without preestimulation, and a safety trial, low dose, where no hair growth was expected.

And, Hairsite, please clarify also that with Intercytex!

W hy dont they put it on there question and answer section on trc (IN SMALL LETTERS NOW)
