Here are some pictures at 4 months. I am getting very good growth at this point. There are many hairs coming through and I can definitely see the beard and body hairs because many of them were gray. Although I do have a long way to go, I’m really happy that I started this repair. I have also included some pictures with concealer, because just this one small procedure has made a diference for me already.

I wish Marco LOL, one is with concealer the other is without. I just wanted to show that even with a small procedure and this early point, it has made a difference.
I still have quite a ways to go. But my experience tells me slow and steady is the right way to do this. I would say the yield is close to 100% which is very important for me, because I am working with limited donor.

I use concealer. It’s not such a big deal. It is amazing what improvement it can give! There is one problem, as my hairloss is increasing, it is becoming almost impossible to use it effectively since the hair is now too short and fine to work with the concealer. It is working excellently for you I think but… rather than having to worry if it will be less effective as time goes on, as your hair is coming back so things will go from good to better!
The growth at 5 months has been very good and it has made a tremendous difference for me. The concealer has something to adhere to with all the extra hair. The hair you see near the crown is chest and beard hair.
It would be so easy for many not to be impressed at this point. But you have to remember I had very little hair behind that hairline and we are talking about apporximately 900 fue’s being placed. It’s only the first step and only a small step. Which is what I wanted, to take only a small step. There simply is no jumping in with 2 feet for me any more.
This small step has made all the difference for me since I use a concealer. I am looking forward to taking that next step which wil be sometime in Jan/2011. I think a couple more body and beard hair sessions along with a final attempt at using some scalp donor will make a drastic difference.
At this point I would say the yield is going to be close to 100% and I have no scarring. This was the objective of this first procedure, and the objective has been met in my opinion.
At 6 months I am very pleased. This was an exploratory surgery for me. I needed to make sure that all 890 fue’s grew and that I have no visible scarring to either the face or chest. I am happy to say that the growth is probably 100% and there is zero visible scarring. I have posted 4 pictures. The before picture with and without concealer and the 6 month picture with and without concealer.

Thanks for posting these updates. It has made a big difference for a small amlunt of grafts and yet still plenty more growth to come at this stage. Look forward to seeing more in the coming months.
Stephen, you are probably right about more growth to come. I know I have posted 100% growth already. I guess that it just looks like so much hair has grown out it such a short amount of time that I get a little too excited.
For such a small procedure 827 fue’s, I am very happy so far and I am looking forward to my next procedure.
Here are my before and 7 month pictures and the growth has really been good. I still need several more procedures but I really like what I see so far. Amazing for 800+ grafts. My own estimation is close to 100% growth including the body and beard hair. Thank you Dr. Bisanga and everyone at BHR.
Am I missing something? I think you had thicker fuller hair in your 4 months pics than the 7 month pictures you just posted.
Neveragain, that second picture at 4 months is with using a concealer. My hair is even better now with the same concealer. I still have a very long way to go as I only had 800+ fue placed. I need at least 3-4 more sessions, 2-3 using body and beard hair, then one final procedure using some of that scalp donor on the side.
You would have to read my blog in order to understand where I have been and what I am trying to accomplish.
I believe all of the fue’s that were placed have grown out already. But maybe there are a few more to come.
Here is my update at 10 months. I have included a pre op picture. Just a small session of 800+ fue and the growth for me has been more than I had expected. The beard and body hair has made quite a difference and really gives me hope of improving my situation with additional procedures. I still might have a small amount of scalp donor on the sides that can also be harvested.
The hardest part of all of this has been trying to take a good photo. I had no idea how hard it was, but this picture came out fairly well.
Here is a picture at 11 months post op. My next procedure is scheduled for January 14, 2011. Since I am a repair patient the numbers are unknown at this point. The clinic will only attempt to extract fue’s is a safe and sensible manner. The areas may include the scalp, beard and chest. I have absolute complete confidence that I am in the best of hands and no doubt this is the best clinic in the world.
It’s not about awards, associations, published articles, published books, buzz or hype. It’s about an ethical clinic that educates and really cares about the patient and the work is hands down the best to be found, in my opinion.
I will keep everyone updated on my progress upon my return.
As I have stated before I am a repair patient. The clinic is not working with a blank canvas. I appreciate any improvement but only so much can be expected. I say this because if I were in the clinic’s shoes I would hope the patient would have enough courtesy, respect and gratefulness to do the same. Regardless of the cost, I don’t expect miracles to be performed.
topcat i wish you good luck for your next operation.I am searching for a doctor experienced in bht.I think Dr Bisanga does not prefer transplating a big number of chest or beard grafts.You met him so what is your opinion?

It’s probably best to contact the clinic and ask I really can’t speak for them. I would guess that you are right and they would not be willing to take a risk that could be very well be detrimental to the patient in order to achieve a speedy result.
Personally I would highly advise against this approach as many of the mega session bht procedures in the past have failed. Some have even resulted in hideous scarring. I know because I have personally spoken to these patients. It’s wise to start out with a very small session to completely evaluate the results. From their it might be possible to increase the number of hairs transplanted with each additional procedure.

how many scalp and bht are you aiming with your second procedure?
btw looking at your pics you seem to be getting better for sure,i guess with hair to cling on applying concealer for you must be far easier now!

Yes, the extra hair makes quite a difference when using a concealer. In that regard the work so far has been a blessing.
