E-MAIL from Intercytex

This is an email from intercytex about ICX-TRC … some member from another forum received.

"
To clarify we plan to finish the current Phase II trial and collect all the data. We also plan to continue our preclinical work. For the next clinical trial we believe this would best be carried out in partnership with a specialist in the field. It is normal for Biotech Companies of our side to seek partnerships to fund later stage clinical trials. We do not believe the overall progress of the project will be impacted.

At the current time, we estimate that ICX-TRC will be available no earlier than 2010, however we do not know at this stage what region it will be launched in first.

For more information, please see the Frequently Asked Questions page of our website http://www.intercytex.com/icx/products/aesthetic/icxtrc/faqsicxtrc/ "

Didn’t you read the locked thread posted by Hairsite? Basically Hairsite is sick of listening to the obsessed baldies getting on their high horse’ and screaming demands and throwing around the inevitable “We should all throw in money!” nonsense that some original genius brings up every six months like clockwork. And then of course there is the matter of the Intercytex threads leading to all out flame wars as the majority of the apparently humorless baldies get huffy because guys like Hanging tell you that you’re basically all screwed and will die not only bald but unloved and never knowing the touch of a woman. It’s destroying a decent site that provides a lot of helpful information and ideas to a lot of people. So Purpleman, I wouldn’t take it personally.

Bodhi

Apparently I’m the “genius” that you’re speaking of. I think you have a great point. Instead of actually trying to do something to have an impact on finding a treatment for our hairloss, lets continue down the same path that many of us have traveled for the last 10 years:

We should come to this site everyday and wait for others to find a cure.

Complain about the very few companies that are working on a solution for hairloss because they have shown us nothing to prove any of their claims (and yet they do not owe us this).

Bicker with others about the importance of hair and why we should be ashamed of the fact that we want our hair back.

Make ridiculous predictions as to the status of finding a treatment for hairloss as if you have some insider information about these companies.

Ride the emotional roller coaster ride of emotions of this board. Everytime some prophet makes a prediction, we all feel better for the day.

Wonder why years continue to pass and we seem no closer to a cure than we are right now.

Blame our problems on others while we sit back and do nothing about them ourselves.

In another 10 years, we may be sitting back wishing we had tried to do something 10 years ago. After reading the ICX report, I feel that way right now. If we worked in cooperation for the last 10 years maybe we would actually have a working project by now.

You’re right Bodhi. I think we should all just sit back and wait to see what happens with hairloss research. Thats worked out well up to this point. What was I thinking? Thank God that I have a genius such as yourself to point out the TRUTH to me.
