BRAVO!

This video is from 2001.

I have not seen it for about 6 years.

Back then, with a decade of experience, I thought we could change things.

About 12 USA trips, multiple seminars, PR companies , lawyers, and several hundred thousand dollars later, you realise you cannot change the fundamentals of this industry.

We lobbied the medical boards in order to offer some form of patient protection, accountability and regulation, but it was a monumental waste of time and money.

This industry is totally unregulated, unsupervised and an incredibly aggressively competetive free for all.

Some people think I could have done things differently and changed the course, but it isn’t so.

Without the good people in the media and medical board support, there is no point.
Merely showing a tool and giving a few weekend lessons in what in reality takes the appropriately skilled people years to master, would be of little benefit.
Greed and massive egos means very few want to be students. Everyone wants to be a world expert master in a weekend and give FUE their own name.
And every new comer knows the game that must be played.

But I must admit, things are much better today than they used to be. It is much much better today. Patients expect more care interaction and understanding of what is happening to their heads . The disgusting disfiguring surgery that was common place 15 to 20 years ago, when I came along, is now rare.

And so, I regret nothing, except my hair do in the video. What was I thinking.

Dr Ray Woods

Great presentation, well done Dr. Woods.

But what about the rest? You don’t agree with Dr. Woods?

btw, nice video Dr. Woods.

Wow, more power to you Dr Woods.

Ok this is all very nobel of Dr. Woods and he is pushing the limits no doubt. In a perfect world, every doctor should follow what Dr. Wood does. But seriously, how realistic is that? How many students has he trained so far? Maybe his old school 10 commandments is what’s preventing FUE from being as widespread as it could have been. My 2 cents.

We need someone like Dr. Woods in the industry. I don’t agree with eveerything he says but he did raise the standards in hair transplants.

Can you imagine if Dr. Woods wasn’t around?
