A Reddit post can start with someone worried that their donor area looks thinner than expected.
Another might be about a second transplant, temple density, beard grafts, or shedding after surgery. Elsewhere, people are talking about medication, supplements, recovery, cost, or how to choose a surgeon.
Most Reddit posts in hair transplant communities carry more than a technical question. Someone may be trying to understand a change they noticed, make sense of conflicting advice, or work out what matters before taking a next step.
I joined Reddit to add a surgeon’s perspective to those conversations, while keeping each of my comments tied to the point that person actually raised.
It’s a broader mix than many people expect from a hair transplant surgeon’s Reddit account.
The subjects are different, so the replies should be too. I try to explain the reason behind my view, not leave a bare verdict. Some points take a few lines. Others need the surrounding context to make sense.
I’m Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu, a hair transplant surgeon at Diamond Hair Clinic in Istanbul. I joined Reddit to contribute to conversations already happening about hair loss and hair restoration.

You’ll find comments about surgical planning and donor area decisions, but also recovery, medical hair loss treatments, and the choices people face when researching a surgeon. You can open each comment in its original post and see what the person asked and how the conversation developed.
A Reddit comment is public discussion, not a personal diagnosis or consultation.
The full context matters, especially when a single detail is easy to misread.
