Hello,
I live in Europe and I want to choose the best surgeon for a hair transplant. I know both Dr. Bisanga and Dr. Devroye are very good but which one would you choose and why? I know its a hard question… Perhaps you might know anywhere else in Europe where there is a better place, please let me know. Thank you all!

I have to disagree a little hairtech, not saying Devroye is bad, but I think Bisanga is a different class. I have not seen anything from Devroye that rivals Bisanga’s work, forget FUE never seen one from Devroye, strip I have seen but nothing to the standard of Bisanga’s hair lines and density.
Hello Vic. So if you had to have it done in Europe you would do it with Bisanga right? Anyone else at the level around in Europe? I am sure Bisanga could compare with doctors over in Canada. By the way did you get a transplant? Thanks hairtech for your reply. Greatly appreciated to both of you.

I’vd never seen anything from Devroye, is he another Euro doc ? Bisanga 's work looks good, even Skywalker recommends him, but hell I didn’t realize Bisanga is so expensiv ! I just read a post saying that he is about $6 a grft.

I would definiltey say the Dr. Bisanga is a better doc then devroye. Dr. Bisanga seems to have a lot more knock out results.

I have seen a couple of results from Bisanga and they are very very good. I have not seen anything from Dr Devroye, so if you are going down that route ask the clinic to put you in touch with a patient who is similar to you.
Dr Cole sometimes operates in Brussels - he has a permanent resident there, a Dr Mwamba. I have seen his work too and again it is very very good for FUE. Solid natural results.
I had a consultion with Dr Mwamba about a year or so ago and it was very thorough.
From what I have seen, Dr Bisanga and Dr Mwamba would be my choices in Europe.

Hello boris,
In my opinion Bisanga is one of the best around, not just in Europe, I have seen a FUE and a Strip result in person and impressed. I have had two ops a few years ago in the UK, could be worse from what I have seen from others on the boards so I count myself a little lucky but it needs improving in all areas.
What are the prices of FUE in the States at the moment, you pay 7 dollars a graft to get an armani tech, not even the man himself. I know the pound and euro are strong now, so maybe it works against the docs this side of the pond.
I wrote yesterday about armani on another forum, not his biggest fan. Personally I think he is over rated and only produces one hair line for everyone, even his rep Shane said a guy “had a classic armani hair line”, he uses too many grafts in a small area and doesn’t seem to have any regard for future hair loss; I think there are going to be many 20 somethings a little less than happy in a few years time.
What is important is to do your home work, research until you feel comfortable. Not seen a FIT donor area so I can’t say, but FUE donor was good.
I see. Actually I need strip done, about 3000 grafts max, no more. I live in Spain but have checked several clinics in Madrid but I am not convinced. I keep reading in forums to go abroad, Brussels or the US. I want to check Dr. Bisanga since I have always read great things about him.
Does he carry out the whole procedure or does he have people take over after a couple of hours? Anyone else in Europe worth visiting who is at the level of Bisanga?? Thanks to all really.

Bisanga is a TOP. Devroye is not.

Is at the same level, but people do not talk about him because most of the forums are US oriented. In European forums is the choice of a lot of people that few years ago need to travel to the US, but sometimes this forums are in italian, spanish, dutch etc… so you cannot search in google very well.

I can’t help with Spain, sorry. No doctor performs a strip on his own,for that matter FUE either; physically impossible, especially one of that size. The doc should take the strip and close, the techs cut the strip, the doc should make the sites for the grafts and in my opinion should place some also, but the techs will place most, impossible for one person to do it all.
Does Cole/Mwmaba still do strip, I thought it was exclusive FIT/CIT nowadays?

i had my transplant in july and i searched for the best surgeon in europe. After some consultations and much research in all forums i have found Dr.Heitmann in the netherlands. I know he is new, but good. He worked with Dr.Feriduni first and do it on his own now. I am very pleased. I get a max. strip with 3610 grafts. Price 7500 Euro 
He do ultra refinde work and lateral slit like hassonandwong. www.drheitmann.com
I made consultations with devroye and bisanga too. God thx, that i didnt go to Bisanga. He is good, but u dont know, if u meet him at good day. I know two cases, that the persons were very unhappy with their result and the whole progress of the surgery. One person told his story on this board

Have a consultation with BOTH of them as well as others in the field. Most of them offer free no obligation consultation. Find out what each doctor or clinic recommends and whether that is in line with your goals and expectations. You will be surprised sometimes there is a wide variation in their recommendations.
Don’t rush into it. Give yourself at least 3 months and talk to as many doctors as possible before making a decision.
THank you NW5a, I looked at the doctor in the Netherlands and it looks good. I wonder if there are anyone else that I can check the results… You wont happen to have any your results out there no? I appreciate your comment it defenately has given me something else to consider.
