Those pics are for real. They’ve been discussed several times over the years on alt.baldspot, including by Dr. Proctor.

Pics look good but so do many on the internet. Give Dr. P a call ask where the scientific study’s on his products are.

It’s for real but that is one of those really good respnders. Not many people will get those kinds of results. I use the shampoo. I used the shampoo in the absence of any other treatment. I use to monitor the amount of hair caught in the drain after every shower. Beginning around the 5th month of using the shampoo there were almost no hairs in the drain. And this continued as long as I was using it. When I ran out I began losing a lot again. Clumps of hair in the drain every morning. So I bought some more and had the same results. I stopped and restarted treatment two more times with the exact same results so I know for a fact that it is helpful. And of course it makes sense that it is helpful since it stimulates nitric oxide.

So Proxiphen N has Nanao, (which is in the shampoo), copper binding peptides, and superoxide dismutase. I don’t understand how SOD interacts with hair and nitric oxide but I am sure that Bryan does.

Prescription strength Proxiphen has everything in Proxiphen N plus Minoxidil, spiro, and I think maybe Tempol and some other stuff. If I were really serious about starting a topical and sticking with it, this would be the one.

But I don’t like to fool with all of that. I use Avodart and the Dr. Proctor’s shampoo from LEF,. This way I know I will comply long term. It is so easy and I think I am using the best approach just shot of adding Proxiphen.

I use to come here a long time ago. I came back to see if there was anything new on the horizon. So far no go.

Interesting…so when did you start balding? was it aggressive? What NW are you now & age? I started losing at 18 and 27…I’m NW6. I guess I’d give shampoo and Prox-N a try for a few months.

Ok: I used Proxiphen for 1.5 yrs… Results = no better than Minoxidil.

  1. Dr Proctor has been in business for 30+ yrs and has a simple website with same 2 pics for yrs
  2. The woman has Alopecia areatta or something like that… which hair is know to come back
  3. The guys pics?? how dont we know those pics arnet in reverse??? ie staged
  4. Yes he has the kitchen sink in their, but he just mashes the pills with a surfactant…
  5. Total cost prob $3 usd and when I was buying it- it was $100 usd
  6. I used to talk to his wife and himself and we used to have good conversations, he was nice and so was his wife. This is why I wasted $1,500 they convinced me to keep it going… a lesson learned
  7. He has lots of credentials, but results he cannot prove.

My opinion … save your money

I don’t give out personal identifiable information on the internet anymore. But suffice it to say that I am old. Not elderly but I have reached middle age. My hair was thinning at the crown and has receded in the front. It is also thinner on top but I still have a good bit there. I have lost a little in the past 17 years but not that much. But I have been taking Proscar almost continually except for a few periods.

If you try the Proxiphen N you may want to add that Minoxidil foam. I haven’t used it but it looks pretty easy to apply. The two should work pretty well together. And for the frontal area you may add a little extra protection with a topical antiandrogen.

It is a little more than just crushing up a few pills. It contains Minoxidil, phenytoin, spironolactone, SODs, copper peptides, TEMPO, PBN and whatever else he puts in it. Could you make your own? I think it is the best hope for anyone wanting to use a topical. I personal can’t commit to that. If there was something that I could just squirt on the frontal area real quick I might consider it. But other than that I think Avodart and Nano shampoo is a good combination. I also use Nizoral off and on too.

Is that YOU, Chuck F.?

How you doing, guy?

Bryan

Bryan, I’m looking for your pics related to proxiphen - I think from back in 2002? They used to be on the other hairloss forum but the link is broken or something. Can you post those pics in high-res on this forum?

like I said he did have the kitchen sink in their. Yes if u have access to all the combos it would cost much less.

He has plenty of patents, but I am sure the combo isnt patented…or all would copy it… The again… why bother. cause the product FOR ME at least didnt do any better than minoxidil alone. nor does he show more than 2 pics in the last 30 yrs.

If it worked great …it would be in the forefront more.

buyer beware

Those pics are of my use of Prox-N, not Proxiphen; they are from 1995 to 1997.

Yeah, for some reason or other, they were removed from HLT.

How exactly do I do that?

I can’t use Rogaine because it gives me blurry vision and an accelerated heart beat, I wonder if I should try this.

Any other info/links about it?

yeah but those are not bryan’s pics. they were doctor proctor’s.

proxiphen-n works in my case but not that dramatic.

i have been nw2 or so for a long time and proxiphen-n just helped thickened up my hair. it’s been over 10 years now. its effects tapers off. like everything else.
