Step-by-Step Procedure

1. Hairline Design

Dr. Jinkal designed Dilip’s new hairline to look natural and suit his face shape. The front and temple areas were marked precisely.

2. Donor & Recipient Area Analysis

A trichoscopy test was done to verify hair quality in both donor and recipient areas.

3. Anesthesia

A painless local anesthesia was given using a vibration technique after a skin sensitivity test confirmed no allergies.

4. Slit Making

Using a sapphire blade (1.2 mm for hairline, 1.4 mm for other areas), small slits were created to determine the angle and direction of new hair growth.

5. Graft Extraction

Grafts were gently extracted with a 0.8 mm titanium punch under magnification.
This step took around 90 minutes.

6. Graft Storage

Extracted grafts were kept at 4°C in a graft chiller with Ringer’s Lactate solution to preserve quality.

7. Implantation

Grafts were implanted using a K.E.E.P implanter, which helps place each hair follicle with precision. The entire implantation took about 2.5 hours.

After the procedure, a light dressing was done, and post-care instructions were given.

Recovery and Hair Growth Journey

1. Shedding Phase (0–2 Months)

After the transplant, it’s normal for transplanted hairs to fall. About 80% of Dilip’s implanted hair shed gradually during this period. He received 2 PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) sessions to improve blood circulation and strengthen existing hair.

By the end of the first month, the donor area had healed completely.

2. Baby Hair Growth Phase (3–4 Months)

  • New baby hairs started growing from the transplanted follicles.

  • A third PRP session was given to boost growth and density.

  • By 6 months, Dilip’s scalp showed visible improvement and better hair coverage.

3. Active Growth Phase (6–7 Months)
