Carbocane anesthesia

I understand carbocane or lydacane is used as the local anesthesia in hair transplants. Dr Robert Marshall, Perdue Phd biochemist and national radio host (www.healthline.cc, .cc not .com) recommends in his information reports that dental patients request septocane instead of carbocane or lydacane as septocane is more liver/kidney friendly. Why has this issue not arisen before? Could Doctor Cole or other Dr’s respond as to whether a procedure could be performed with septocane anesthesia? Have a small procedure next week and this issue stays under the radar and is of concern. Recently Have known a kidney dialysis patient and was shocked by the severity of the disease and procedure on one’s life.

Dialysis will change your life for the worse, a lot worse. I don’t know about lidocaine and its effects on the internal organs, but the fluid you have to take before a colonoscopy will damage your kidneys. You raise a good question.

I want to know too, thank goodness someone is asking intelligent questions.

damn, nobody ever said anything to be about anesthesia before I went under the knife. Perhaps damage is limited because it was just a one time procedure??

Following my procedure, it is now my understanding the lydacane is mixed with a saline solution which raises the skin from the scalp. Although the lydacane is diluted, they pump a lot of that solution into the surgery areas. My strategy(I majored in business to avoid chemistry class) is to drink alot of water after the procedure to help flush the anesthesia out of your system. Per Dr Marshall’s advice it would be a positive step if some docs could use the more body friendly septocane at least as an option.
